I changed the pic on lcd but didnt work very well, any1 got any good pics? Also why does it take ages to open the inbox to read new sms? Why is keypad so sensitive when i write texts? i press button once and it goes way ahead(T9) Why did it say memory running low when i had 100mb free? (256mb card) When using internet is it safe?.Why is backup battery always 90%? And why does it say battery running low at 40%? Apart from having to use task manager to stop running programs, i think its a good phone and like the shape(except little plastic bits) Thanks for any help and wonder if any other newbies feel the same?
Guest martin Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 I think first thing you need to do is check IPSM. Load smart Explorer, highlight IPSM and goto File-Properties. At the top it should say IPSM calculating and then display the total files and memory in use for IPSM.
Guest sophist Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 If you don't intend to send MMS, then uninstall the MMS software. This will speed up access to your inbox. It also appears to speed up program response generally. It will also free up some space on your IPSM which by the sound of it is getting full - it will indicate when your IPSM memory is running low (NOT your storage card). Some of my keys are a little over-sensitive too. I have just downloaded Keytouch's 'MultiPlay Keyboard' : Keytouch This is an alternative text entry system for Smartphone which takes the strain out of input (and on the keys!). Well worth the US$14.99. It will tell you that the battery is running low at 40% because as you've probably noticed, it goes from 40% to empty extremely quickly!
Guest dazh71 Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 Thanx for help, but could not remove MMS moto software? ps yes it was IPSM memory that was low!
Guest sophist Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 To remove the MMS software, run ActiveSync on your PC, select Tools > Add/Remove Programs and then uncheck the Motorola Software MMS box.
