Has anyone experienced similar problem?

Amongst the SMS I have received, there are few which shows junk chracters (Empty Box).

Has anybody got clue for me to solve this trouble? Do i have to install additional font and which one? Or is there a setting which i need to do to get characters working?

Looking for the suggestions,

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately thats a problem when people send phone-specific characters or have a phone which use codes to non-existant characters on the Smartphone. Unfortunately you can't install a new font (Or fonts) to fix it so I think your stuck with blank boxes, sorry.

Can Orange do anything to deal with it?

After all MPx200 is Smartphone! Or not? It should be able to deal with phone specific fonts if that font is available with OS. This is great.

Thanks for your consolation siu99spj, i'm stuck with it.

Can above problem be solved with Smartphone 2003?

PS:

How can you travel 'to all the corners of the world' when a sphere has no corners?

I liked your punch line about travelling to all corner. It has given me a good explanation why i'm not travelling. But i travel to different corners of the world map when i day dream.

I believe the 2003 OS has a larger selection of characters. However, I was meaning the translation of characters not on smartphones, but one which existed on a Nokia or somesuch.

Thereby, if someone on a Nokia sent you a Nokia specific character, you wouldn't be able to see it. Annoying, but even happens on PCs when switching between UNIcode and ASCII (Square boxes instead of carriage returns for example).

Therefore, no easy fix, just ask friends to stick to normal characters.

Oh :)/ glad you liked my sig!
