Sounds like the old recognised partial reset bug ! :D

I think it would have been brought on in your case by the low battery.

You will need to Application Unlock again - search the site for OTA etc

Hopefully you will not need the full Hard Reset but an upgrade to the 1.6 ROM is an option while you're in this state.

I'm not confident to lead you through this but I've had no problems using the advice on this site.

Use the Search facility above to find the threads on Partial Reset / Hard Reset / Upgrade etc and you'll be sorted :)

You'll probably have to re-enter all the registration codes for your software too, if not reload them entirely / rebuild the shortcuts.

It's s good learning experience

It happened to me when I tried to discharge my battery completely. I played with the phone (turn on in craddle than remove from it for few times) and when I finally started to charge it, I turned it on and it reset itself, I had to reinstall all stuff.

One thing never to do is to try and fully discharge your battery, you will

damage it. Lithium ion batters can be damaged by fully dicharging them unlike the Ni-cds etc.
