Guest Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 Hello, found this experience report on http://www.orangesp.co.uk : http://194.154.163.171/eshops/cat.asp?news=9 The author assumes that all the chargers for the predecessor models fail because of a higher charging current needed by the 8080 (and clones). Well, can it really be that the 8080 has a higher drain than an iPAQ 5550 which can well be charged from the USB port of my notebook using a special USB charger ? According to the specs I have the cells used in the battery of the 8080 (Samsung ICP503465B or Amita 503562) are charged @680 mA max. Any experience ? Any idea if at all and if so when accessories for the 8080 will be available (I'd need a spare battery, one spare docking station and a USB charger/sync cable) ? Regards Gerhard
