e200 dead or bad charger - just arrived in USA

Put my e200 on charge last night with the Proporta 2pin to USB adapter and the boxwave usb to SPV (original). Left it charging overnight

This morning the phone has no power (it was on one bar and I left it on). The red light above the e200 logo is showing (it is red not orange)

Have I blown my phone or is there a duff setup here. Could I buy an XDA charger from T Mobile in the US and solve my problem?

Thanks

I had this when using the USB charge on the e200, worked ok for a day or two but then had red light, all I did was charge it with the mains charger, strange thing is I get better battery life now.

I've just been coming to the same conclusion. My boxwave minisync doesn't work with the E200 :)

It wouldn't start the phone from a completely dead battery. It only showed a red light, whereas the original SPV will boot up once plugged in, even with a dead battery.

I've got an orange light now but I've had it plugged into my laptop all day and the battery has been going slowly down. I can only assume its getting a small amount of charge but not enough to boost the battery.

I wonder if the cable is at fault or is it a faulty phone.

Just as a matter of interest, I've got the buzzy effect too!

Ok thanks - I am with one dead phone in the US with no access to my mains charger in London...

Does anyone know if the XDA (Pocket PC Phone) charger will work in the e200 as if that's the case I can buy one in a Tmobile USA store

Thanks

Sorry, can't help with the question re the XDA charger.

Just as a further bit of information, I read in another topic that the cradle for the E200 now charges, so I tried that. It worked fine, although from a completely dead battery it first showed the red light for about 10 mins but eventually turned orange and I could boot up the phone. Left it charging overnight and it seems to have charged as well as the mains charger.
