How to turn off SMS Message Sent Notification

See here, http://www.samsung-omnia.org/how-to-b57/i8...69687/#msg69687

Disable Notification Sound

Go To: HKCU > Software > Microsoft > Inbox > MsgTypes > IPM > SMSText

Change: DLL Value to htmlnote.dll

Then: Soft reset.

Original DLL Value is mms.dll

This DOES work, but this changes your SMS editor too. The mms.dll is the bad one.

This solution is OK only when U don't want to send MMS crating it like in old windows mode menu>new>sms/mms.

When U apply those setting U will be able to read MMS because default Samsung app opens it, but every time U want to create new text message SMS/MMS opens old sms editor without MMS function. Any one of U tried to instal ArcSoft MMS software?mayby this is the only solution?

SOLUTION FOR MMS sending with this registy tweak:

On the other hand when u make a foto and U preview it in foto album mode U can press right top corner with "send as messega" wher U can choose to send mms, then samsung app opens:) and U can send MMS.

So as a conclusion after this registry edition U will be able to sent MMS only wen u want to send something photo/video using samsung app photo album.

Any other like resco ask to send to MMS/@mail but there is no SMS/MMS option... :)

I had the same problem as you what I did is this:

Go To: HKCU > Software > Microsoft > Inbox > MsgTypes > IPM > SMSText

Change: DLL value htmlnote.dll

Then: Soft reset.

But since Omnia II WM 6.5 is set to SMSNoSentMsg value 1 by default I just revert it back to MMSNoSentMsg value 0

Go To: HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Inbox Settings

Change: SMSNoSentMsg name to MMSNoSentMsg

Change: MMSNoSentMsg value to 0

Then: Soft Reset

Hmm, first step and soft reset done, but now find I'm not able to edit HKLM with CERegEditor. :(

on CERegEditor try going to tools then unlock registry then try again

Thanks for that tip iTamad. I'd already tried that, and the edit function still wouldn't work in HKLM, though it would in HKCU, whether I'd clicked unlock registry or not. For some reason, though, I was able to delete, so I did that and then added a "MMSNoSentMSG" entry so that my registry entries in HKCU and HKLM are now the ones suggested by Somije.

Upshot of all this is I still get the message sent pop-up, and instead of playing the Samsung alert (number 4) that I have set to alert me when "new SMS received", which is what I was hearing with the message sent pop-up bubble, I now get some kind of brief Windows alert chime.

Maybe I should try the hit-the-cross-and-press-the-lock-button method instead.

This is what I did, and it worked - but may have issues with composing a new MMS...

I actually had to delete the smsnosentmsg as mmsnosentmsg already existed...

I've actually decided to just go back and put in the original registry entries again. Maybe another solution will be suggested.

I have to say this is most annoying thing ever.

So many 'solutions' (if you want to retain the Samsung skin), yet nothing works. Presumably these solutions do work for some - so does it have to do with what version users have of the mms.dll file or what 'other' software is installed.

The Vito SMS Chat does prevent the Sent bubble.

Hmm... With any luck a cooker or another smart user will have a solution for one and all for those wishing to keep the Samsung skin.

ummm, this is the solution (intermitten, as it just back sometimes and I got to repeat the procedure):

But before you do this, make sure you already set the required registry mod described above. (not the one involving change of DLL to non 'mms.dll' one)

1. turn on the Inbox threaded SMS.

2. send one message.

3. turn off the threaded SMS.

4. send one message.

5. VOILA! It just gone!!!
