Funny thing is my girlfriend and I had a his and hers mobile phone. We both had a T68i with my picture set as a wallpaper on her phone and her picture on mine (we got the two phones as a valentines gift for ourselves a while back… that’s why the phones were very symbolic and special).

Kinda cute, kinda childish, but people we met found it amusing and sweet.

To cut the story short, when the Smart Amazing Phone (SAP), also know as the SPV e100, was released here in the Philippines…..  I fell in love with it (I had a PocketPC at that time and was looking for a Smartphone to complement it). I didn’t know how to tell her that I had to get one because she would be devastated, not to mention the SAP was only available through another mobile phone service provider. I had to get a second mobile number and shell out a fortune for the SAP.

She got furious when I bought the phone……

We broke up because of the phone…. (kinda lame but there were other more important issues and problems that were present… the SAP was just a catalyst for the bubble to burst)

The relationship ended, but I retained both my phones and she retained hers.

Months past and we met at a friend’s party….….. we talked as friends and had a decent time together. Before the party ended, I pulled out both my phones and she saw that her picture was still on my T68i and she also saw something else that made her cry…….

My SAP……

A picture of her in a formal dress all made up and looking pretty was set as a background on my SAP. The picture was taken by my digital camera when we attended a friend’s wedding a long time ago, way before we split up and way before I purchased the SAP.

She cried as she picked up my SAP because her picture looked really really good on the SAP (I thank the SAP’s 65,000 colors and suburb screen resolution). The picture reminded her of the happy times we had together. She couldn’t believe that I set her picture as a background on my phone even though we had already broken up. She was touched and flattered.

We made up and got together again (we also fixed our other issues and problems).

Today, she is now my fiancé and uses my SAP… I gladly gave it to her and now I am a proud owner of an XDA II.  (we retired both our T68i)

I will never forget my SAP…….. MY SMART AMAZING PHONE WAS THE CATALYST FOR MY DOWN FALL BUT IT ALSO BECAME THE MEDIUM AND CHANNEL FOR MY COME BACK… and now we will be getting married next year.

I would post the picture of her on my phone that made her cry but I don't know how.....

Hehehe AMAZING Smart Amazing Phone a.k.a. SPV e100  :-)

I was using my Qtek 7070 (think that's a SPV e100) as a mp3 player and listened to music through the headset.
Suddenly my phone fell out of my pocket and the headset got disconnected from the phone and it switched to speaker, meaning the phone started to play music loudly.

And my music taste is ... er.. special and I ended up scaring quite a few people, and as I was reaching for the phone someone picked it up for me, and said "Hey you like In Flames (the band I was listening to) too?"
"yeah" I replied.

One thing lead to another and I ended up getting her number.
We've gone out for a month now.

But there's another special one in my heart.

I was at lotusphere convention.  I think more people visit me to check out the Samsung smartphone than the actual product we were showcasing on the trade floor.

As a lot of us (I think       ) I'd made a skin for my SPV with a picture of my girlfriend. She’s really loved it because:
  1st it's a nice picture of her
2nd we live more than 1000 miles away from each other and this phone is our main link. Therefore she knows I always have her with me and I can see her when I send a SMS or when I phone her.

So, the first time she saw that she was really excited and we didn't leave her apartment for the week-end.

That's during the night that the SPV help me to arouse her more than I’d never seen her:
The light was turned off. I took my SPV and used it as a lamp. It lighted up a small part of her body that I kiss. She was watching my little game and began to enjoy it a lot. Then she took rh SPV and she lighted up some other part of her body. My tongue was following the light and it began to be so hot that she let the SPV fall. I picked it up and began to record her. Each time I recorded, the backlight turned on and I was able to see her beautiful body.

The next morning (well let say at noon), when she waked up, I made her listen what I recorded during the night. She was delightful and we started it all again.

Since then, we often play at this little game!

For everyone, sorry but I have only a SPV first generation, so no picture… May be if I win, I will have the opportunity to spend a lot of other marvellous night.

I was at the carwash in sunny Southern California with my MPX200 checking emails when a beautiful woman came and sat next to me. I opened my windows media and began playing "Really Love a Woman"by Bryan Adams through my speaker phone. Half way through the song, as I am continuing to check my email, this beautiful woman sitting next to me begins speaking... to no one in particular, "I wish a man would treat me like that"...Naturally I respond that  "someone as beautiful as you deserves no less" She subsequently becomes interested in my phone and its capabilities. I show her some videos of my dog using pockettv(she loves dogs by the way), internet, photos, Lemonade game...Meanwhile, the guys are honking for both of us, our cars are ready. D_MN, I was just getting somewhere, I thought. We both smiled and went to our cars. As I was adjusting the seat in my shiny BMW, there was a tap at my window. There she was in all her beauty with a piece of paper in her hand. I opened the door(did not want to roll down the window and mess it up, being freshly washed and all). She said " here is my mobile number. Give me a call and I will see if you can live-up to the song." I called her later that day to set up a DATE  . It is all set for this weekend. I would like to think that she was impressed with my phone, however, it wasn't until she saw my Bimmer that she took the plunge. Ah well, the things we have to put up with here in superficial, sunny Southern California. To Be Continued...

My story is really romantic or anything, but a girl came up to me one time at a night club and asked me for the time, so i opened up my smartphone with the xp backround and she was amazed to see that on a cell phone. she chilled there with me for a few minutes and i was showing her all the cool stuff that the phone could do like play music videos and mario brothers and she was really buggin out. The phone ended up being a good way to break the ice and I probably couldve gotten her number if I wanted but I'm already happily taken.

There she was sitting at the bar
The girl of my dreams so near…. yet so far
I strutted up as confident as can be
Knowing on my person I had my SPV :(

She looked so perfect, eyes so blue
I was so nervous I needed a poo
I sat down next to her, knees a quaking
Seeing if she’d notice me by the noise my phone was making
The A-team was pumping out (but not polyphonic)
But she was too busy writing a text on her Panasonic ](*,)

I said to her “sms is so old
You should be more bold
Get a smartphone, I took it out to show her
I can take your photo (click) and sent is as a picture”

Impressed was she and we got a chatting
Loved my jokes and the crap lines I was gaffing 8)
Shame she said as she had a bloke
I nearly cried my heart was broke

And then out of the blue he did appear
Her boyfriend so big, manly, handsome (infact he looked like a queer)
Angry was he that I was talking to his bird
He threatened me and called me a big turd :-s

He said “I challenge you to a duel
You silly fat fool”
Real man that I be
I challenged him to a game of PacMan on my SPV

He accepted with confidence
But he’d need some assistance
I’m a PacMan demon don’t you know
I kicked his ass – it was a terrible blow :D

He got so angry and so mad
He punched me in the face – it was real bad :(
He grabbed my phone and threw it on the floor
Kicked it around and booted it towards the door
The bouncers came and chucked him out
Never be allowed in the bar again – no doubt

I picked up my phone
I felt all alone
Out popped the little cover on the infra-red
I was in shock – my phone was…. dead

Oh my Microsoft friend is this the end
I’ll do my best to try to mend
(but I had little money I could spend)

I gave it a little shake
Press the on button…. and it did awake!! :(/

The lights flickered - on came the orange screen
All it needed was a little clean
A bit battered and bruised
But it worked I was bemused

My lady was so impressed I hadn’t resorted to violence
And was quite happy with her boyfriends absence
She hugged me and said, “Are you okay? -
I didn’t like that idiot much anyway
(He looked a little gay)”

We’ve been together ever since
She’s my darlin’ – I’m her prince
We’re as happy as can be…..
Thanks to my (battered and bruised) SPV!!! :(  :(

If you want to say something; say it big. I knocked together a little E200 App which lets you tell it like it is, accross a crowded room. You can add a picture and a message of your choice, and it scrolls smoothly over the screen to tell the world your feelings:

Posted Image

If you want to share your love with someone else, and personalise your message with a piccy from your camera, just copy the attached program into your StoragewindowsStart MenuAccessories folder and fire it up.

You can edit the text for your message and select a picture to go on the front. Enjoy, and Happy Valentines all.....

This is the story of how I met my ex-girlfriend thanks to my SPV.

Just after Valentine's day I was feeling low, because I had just been dumped. However I had to travel to London by train that day. Being an email addict, I always make sure that I have my Smartphone with me.

About one hour into the journey, a lovely lady sits opposite me on the other side of the table. Feeling a bit bored, I decide to check my emails on my SPV. *Doodooderup* I got an email, yey! So I feel my jacket pocket for my glasses, but lo and despair, I'd forgotten them at home.  :)

I kindly ask the lady to help me out and read the email for me.

She gives the phone an intriguing look. A bit hesitant at first, she starts reading:

"- So it's from [email protected]"

"- Ah, sounds interesting, could you please read on?" I answer.

"Dear dude55,

Thank you for taking part in the MoDaCo and Microsoft Valentine's Day competition. We are pleased to let you know that you've won a Smartphone of your choice. Please let us know of your decision as soon as possible.

Congratulations!

Paul
xxx
"

I was pretty excited and happy by then.

"That sounds cool, what's this all about?" She asks.

So I start explaining the concept of Smartphones to her, and mention how great the MoDaCo website is.
I then go into detail about the Valentine's day competition on the aforementioned site.

Using my natural wit and wisdom (ahem), I engage her in conversation, literally charming the pants off her . Feeling some sort of connection, and considering I was quite happy with my SPV, I end up by asking her if she wants the phone. She thought I was joking at first so remained a bit dubious. After a bit of convincing she finally accepted the offer.

We obviously had to exchange numbers and meet up on several occasions. We got together and it went well for about a year but unfortunately she dumped me just before Valentine's day.

Trough dust and scratches I can see
A nice girl her face on my SPV
How did that photo get on my screen?
How did I find a girl so extreme?

All these questions burned inside
So I asked my friend, full of hope and pride
If he knew her name or where she was from
Did they know where I met her and how did that come?
Since they envied me still for my really cool phone
They acted unknowing and left me real lone

So there I was, my heart all set but without a clue
And my friends wouldn’t help me so I went off to pursue
What made me remember her face, oh so bright,
Also made me unknowing, so I kept thinking inside:
“If I could only find out her name of that shine
I might make a chance of making her mine”

Maybe my phone held info about the dear girl
So I grabbed the great thing and gave it a whirl
From photo’s to movies and address to note
There’s nothing about her that I might have wrote

Then I figured I might still have a chance
If that girl went back to where I captured a glance
So I waited a week, still quite alone
I even called up a psychic with my really nice phone

Off course those psychics where a rip off and costed me cash
But I was so deep in love I couldn’t think rash
I wasted so much time wap and msn
Although I couldn’t find what I looked for as much as I can

Then the day of judgement was there!
Might I again catch a glimpse of her hair?
I walked inside looking once more again
At the picture of the girl and then inside I ran.
I saw her quite fast and I ran to that girl that must be
But then I saw something that came as a big shock to me
My friend was with her, yes the friend that denied
To help me with my search to the girl so he lied!

I walked to the guy, who I now hated and liked
As a good friend but now as well a foe I disliked
I said to him that I found it really low
And that I really felt like giving him a blow
I was so desperate I told him that that nice girl
Was worth everything to me since she’s just a beautiful pearl

Then he agreed on giving me a chance cos he saw we really match
So off course I was happy but what was the catch?
I soon found out, he wanted my GSM
The device that made me find that beautiful femme
I didn’t think twice and I agreed on the trade
The ultimate sacrifice for a price so supreme
My smarthpone for the girl of my dream!

So now we’re together and happy for quite some time
Off course without smarphone, but that is quite fine
A smartphone I can buy, I can sell I can try
But the love of my life a gift from the sky!

Now I’m here with a nokia 3210, it really sucks
I would buy a new one, but this girl costs me quite a few bucks!

(c next post for a reunion picture)

Not  a story, but I'm planning on going out somewhere with my gf (or just staying home), and I'll play romantic music with the speakerphone on the MPx200, and then we'll dance to it under the stars (or the luminence of incandescent light bulbs :))

  • Interests:The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

Can we provide bal & mocking with a consolation prize of instructions on how to resize images to an appropriate size for a forum post?
