Hey Everyone.I got myself a virtual keyboard from Ebay a few days back.Great delivery. Ordered on Friday and received on Monday.Thought I would just give my opinion on this device. Below is a pic of the device

VirtualKeyboard.jpg

Features

1 - Project a virtual QWERTY keyboard onto any flat surface

2 - Connectors supplied for HP iPaq, palmOne, XDA/XDAII/SPV and PC serial

3 - Internal rechargeable battery with mains power supply

4 - Can recognize up to 400 key strokes per minute

5 - Over 120 minutes of continuous typing off of a single charge

6 - Simple setup just install the supplied driver to your PDA/ PC/Smartphone, connect the keyboard, and its ready to use

Well Below I have given titles and explained each bit and given an overall conclusion to this product

First Impressions

I didn't get to open my package until today due to work commitments,However I opened the item around 6 hours ago in a desperate manor to see exactly what this nifty device looked like as I had only previously seen the device on google images. The device seemed to be of a nice small size and fits in my jean pocket nicely with the provided leather case.

Plugged In

I installed the drivers provided on the disk with the itech keyboard and used activsync to install the .cab file to my phone. After this I then set the device up on a nice flat surface to my dis-believe the device went dead before I got chance to turn the device on within the phone.

Charged

I charged the device for 2 hours required. I then re-plugged the keyboard back into my phone. And downloaded another .cab file which was the vieka wordpad program.I opened this program and continued by pressing the keys on the keyboard and to my amazement the keyboard was typing in a very nice manor and i could use it just like my normal keyboard. The device worked a treat and allowed me to type the words in perfectly at a very nice rate.

Continue

It took me about an hour to get fully compromised with this device and within this time I felt very homely and the device is very forgiving allowing me to type just like a normal keyboard.I configured the device slightly to perfection for the way I type and I was set to go.

Conclusion

This keyboard is amazing and well worth the money.Great for producing documents and great for getting attention. The device does exactly what its intended to. have only had chance to play with this device for a few hours but i seriously rate it 10/10 in all areas.I decided to post this in the forum as I couldn't seem to find any reviews of the product on the net from users who have purchased the product so I hope this gives you people at modaco a better idea about the virtual keyboard

To sum this keyboard up I believe Itech have done a good job with this product and it deserves all the positive reviews it gets.Even works with a laptop and PC if you feel its neccesary but I feel the main aim of this keyboard is to be able to have a portable keyboard situated in your pocket for getting the full pottential out of your smartphone. So if any of you are considering buying this keyboard I am 1 more happy guy for purchasing. As i've said 10/10 for this product. It works a treat.

Yes It works Brilliantly.Well I Have seen it for 89.99 in various places and I paid £85 including packaging for the virtual keyboard on Ebay. Not much saving but I found it easyier as I could use paypal to make the payment for the keyboard.

1 second,I am using an e200 smartphone at the present time.In the box there is several adapters to connect to various devices but Does the c500 connect in a different way. What I mean by this is,on the bottom of the e200 there is a bit where I can plugin to. That is how mine connects. If the c500 connects differently then if you let me known I can look at the adapters to see if it is connectable. This would be nice to know as im considering buying a c500 soon..

does the c500 use the same connector as the e200.I have an e200 and am going to buy a C500 and was wonderig if it has the same connectorand whether i can use my usb dongle I have with my e200.the reason I wonder why is because I would like to use my c500 with the virtual keyboard as the connector provided with the virtual keyboard fits in the bottom of the e200 but i wonder if the same connector is on the c500 so i can still use my virtual keyboard. Also does anyone know whether the sp3i has the same connector.

Sorry I see my question has been answered..Well hmm that doesnt sound to good then. Do you think I could buy another adapter somewhere for the virtual keyboard to use it on my c500 when i get it.Im going to buy it from the modaco shop but thats the only thing thats put me off.If there is another adapter or maybe Itech can make one? then I will buy this c500 from here asap. Just researching into whether this can be done.

Jon
