I got a A701 with Italian language, but I need guess to use...
I tried to refresh the ROM into English, but the machine is locked the function to U-boot. so I can not enter into U-Boot screen. ie can not refresh the ROM version.
The steps I did is:
Hold on UP volume, and RESET at the same time.
After 3 seconds, release RESET...
Keep holding the UP volume, until come to U-BOOT screen.

Where did you find out about this?

I tried it on my unlocked phone and it doesn't work.

I see that you didn't press the down key (silver round button)


How to go to firmware boot:

PRESS Up (+) key and press navigator button down (silver button) at the same time.
While holding those keys, put press reset for about 2 sec. and then release reset only.

You will enter the boot (firmware) menu. See my other post in this forum Firmware A701.

With what tool You unlock Your MioA701 ?
I have one Orange Israel SIM locked , and need unlock it !
