Got a XDA ignito and chuffed to bits with it.... ended going for this (over the Omnia) as I got it on a brill contract with the phone free..

I don't do too much on the phone (couple of call and couple of texts/MMs a day) but I can get a week out of the battery between charges (lasted 4 days this week as I've been mucking about with new themes etc)..

Not sure about next device as got to wait 18 months, but gonna be happy with this for the time being.

Cheers

Gaz

Next Device: more than likely the X1 although it may be the touch pro, im waiting to get my hands on both in a store to see which i prefer

  • Devices:HTC Diamond (o2 MiniS->Ebay)
Current: HTC Diamond, bought from Play.com in the hope I could haggle another no phone contract deal with o2.
Failed... ended up getting their Simplicity 30 day contract tariff, £20 a month for 600mins, 1000 texts and unlimited browsing.

My friend then bought an iPhone and although I'd rather not spend the £900 he is over 18 months I do like the larger screen.
So, my next device might be the HTC HD.

Other kit: loving the PC World Advent 4211 (aka MSI Wind) and must get round to putting my o2 MiniS and TomTom Nav5 bluetooth on Ebay.

My current device: Black 16GB Samsung Omnia at the moment.
My next device: Touch HD appeals, but really interested in the Android devices.  Not necessarily the G1, but maybe the next batch.  I guess I have to see what's out when I get bored of the omnia!
Other mobile kit: iPod Touch 32GB (with Shure Headphones) and my Advent 4211, OSX'd! Also with the unlocked 3G modem for total data connectivity ;-)

Just need a big car battery in a rucksack and I'm sorted!

Currently I have an XDA Stellar (custom Rom obviously)
Will be out of contract around August 2009, so hopefully my next device will be whatever the successor to the Touch Pro is.

At the moment it's a Sony Ericsson T68!
Because i lost my Vario 3 with Garmin dk4.2 ROM, in Bristol 2 weeks ago. (gutted)
Next phone?
Don't know...... Touch Pro, X1, G1, Touch HD, or hang on and see if anything turns up with snap dragon in the near future?
Slightly off topic, but has anyone tried the T Mobile service with Sky Sports on there phone? At the moment this could well influence my decission.
Ben

I'm using a T68i as well  :D - my c500 died last month.

I'm going to fork out for the Touch Pro, just need to find a decent provider (orange are crap).  Might move to O2, mate works there and can get me 30% off any contract (get one with a decent phone then sell it and buy the touch pro).

.... but really like the way I can use the iPhone through the Aux port on my car stereo for music and hands free calling, 3G iPhone is out because it apparently switches off the built in mic when a stereo jack is inserted.

Glad I'm not the only one who does this. I do it with my diamond. use a y adapter to give a 3.5mm jack and a usb port for charging. Allows all my music, calls and sat nav to go through the car speakers. Works great.

Since i've had the Omnia, yeah!

Diamond and Touch Pro aren't being used!

P

Just got the Omnia at work for a trial but after using it for an hour, I passed on it and stuck with the diamond. The screen is bigger but just isn't as sharp as the diamonds which is a real shame. Nice widgets though.

Current Device : Touch Diamond and Nokia 6300 (Work Phone)
Future Device : X1 as a work phone hopefully (preordered for a trial) or it'll be another touch diamond so I'll have to carry two around. Personally, I have another 13 months left on my contract so no idea what will be out then.

I'm quite surprised to see how many people are using iPhones, and how few seem to be interested in the G1...

P

Know what you mean. I think if the G1 wasnt so damn ugly and if they ditched the keyboard and made the device nicer looking, touch HD style, then that would grab peoples attention!

CURRENT DEVICE: HTC Touch Diamond - Not bored of it, but bored of Windows Mobile now. Been using Windows Mobile devices since the Original SPV days, had so many devices and nothings really changed. So after seeing my mates iPhone 3G was tempted into having a go with a second hand iPhone 3G 16gb Black off ebay. Arrived today. So will see how that goes

NEXT DEVICE: Will stick it out with the iPhone 3G for the moment, but think i could be tempted by Win mobile 7, or poss the HTC Touch HD as that looks great but until the Win Mobile interface gets a complete "finger friendly" overhaul im not gonna bother.

Next: Well I'm not due an upgrade until june, but will probably switch earlier. At the moment, my next device will be a HTC Touch Pro, as I don't particularly like the Xperia panels, the G1 just seems icky, and nothing else has the range of features I want....

So roll on next year I guess, if something brilliant comes along (like maybe an omnia but with a keyboard), then maybe i'll change my mind...but at the moment, its the T/Pro for me....

Have recently got Diamond. Love the size / usability balance.  Just the right size, and still very full featured.

Other phones are either too big (but more useful) or too small (and less useful).

4 year old 12" HP laptop for more serious mobile requirements , using Diamond as 3g modem on occasion
