I'm trying to hide my SIM contacts using the following regedit:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Phone]
"ShowSIM"=dword ->0 to disable, 1 to enable.

When I do that change, it works fine until I restart my phone then it reverts back to the default 1 setting (when I click on Contacts, I get the busy Windows spinning icon and then the SIM contacts show again!) Can anybody shed some light on this?

Please ignore initial request - noticed thats its a known "problem" and can be rectified using a 3rd party cab plugin (which I don't want). It is prob there for regulatory reasons -> access to the Emergency numbers (000, 112, etc..)
