did u try to hard reset??  if yes and still missing it means its a hardware problem and you should bring it to service center...

im not sure with warranty but from my experience i think it doesnt matter what firmware you are using they still fix it...

yes i tried every reset i can think of  :( under setting clear memory and *2767*3855#. can i ask what your experience was? did you flash your phone with other rom while still inside warranty?

help please.. my storage disappeared again (16gb) for the second time. the first time they replaced it with a brand new unit because it was still untouched. it was ok for several months of flashing. until i got kydkylin rom. a 6.5.3 with htc sense. contented with this rom i never flashed my phone again and been using it for almost a month. but the hardware failed again (my storage 16gb) again. i believed this is not cause by flashing. its a common problem with 16gb. i can prove it because my phone was running with htc for almost a month with out flashing. and one day it was all ok and in the noon time the my storage suddenly disappeared.  now what i want to do is FLASH THIS ROM before returning it to samsung because its still under warranty. i also read somewhere in this forum that you cannot flash a full MST rom with my storage missing. so i downloaded this rom and extracted the nb0 file using rodrigofd o2util.exe. and tried to flash it with octans 2.14 but it gets stuck after writing pda to rom it say "calculating checksum..." and its still stuck there. even if i used nb0 to flash

my question is how do i flash back to this rom so i can still avail my warranty. i tried flashing twu2 ultra lite rom 6.5.x with no problem. using only his csc and nb0 file. i did the same with this rom extracted nb0 from mst but i cant complete the flashing procedure. my phone right now is running with out my storage using twu2 ultra lite 6.5.3 rom. i cant go to samsung with this rom as it voids the warranty. or can i?? please help anyone.

what are you doing differently that is causing your storage to disappear? i had flashed more than 10 times and this did not happen to me. i also have 16gb. dont use other modified firmware for now since it appears to me that you had already used 2. try to use the official or semi official releases instead going forward. flash using this FAM rom and i dont see samsung going after you for warranty. try to flash with an official rom first after hard reset and see if you are able to retrieve you storage. what happened to me before was that my storage appeared as MY STORAGE2 rather than MY STORAGE with only a couple of mbs registered. this had just happened without me doing anything on the device. i flashed using this official ROM from a different topic and viola, im back at 16g. im now running JE with  storage still intact.

i have flashed my phone more times than i can remember ...... missing storage is a hardware problem ..... mine dissapeared TWICE .... both times all i could really do was go to the service center  ..... takes them maybe 10 days to fix it.

i have a PDA_I8000NXXIJ9_HW_40.nb0   the older but official ph ROM

guys, does the "Storage disappearing act" related to hardware or ROM? coz i'm thinking of going back to official ROM even if it's not that fast as cooked ones.. thanks

depends. Both can be the source. If it's hardware, then...goodbye omnia.(with the money spent on a new memory+service you can buy another omnia  ).
If it's software, it can be solved. And it's not stock or custom. I have friends with omnia on stock rom who faced the same problem. I guess it's more how you use your phone, especially when connecting to pc.

mostly i think it is a hardware problem ..... rarely have i read anyone recovering from this problem using software to unmount re mount the drive. Four times my phone has been to the service center bec of missing storage. And i have flashed more times than i can count .... it just simply breaks down without warning.

i agree. more often than not it is a hardware issue. it simply doesn't work after numerous flashes. only way out is service center. i had mine replaced with 16g storage when it was lost after flashing a custom rom. good thing is that it was weeks away from warranty expiry.

four times? mine now was three times. and one time i talked to samsung support tech (i think from manila) and i asked about the problem with my storage. they said in the fourth time if the same problem fails (my storage) you can ask for some sort of certificate on the service center that your have the same problem failing my storage for the fourth time and you can ask for a replacement. (that is four times it fails under warranty) they (samsung support tech) specify that they will replace it with new unit but same omnia ii. but you can negotiate with the store where you both your phone if they're willing to trade it with another unit just add on additional payment.

so for me now my storage failed for the third time and now i have been forced to flash to stock rom (for warranty purposes) and waiting for the fourth time my storage will fail. hoping i could trade it with a brand new unit. omnia ii is a great phone with custom roms and a few tweak here and there. just the hardware in my case is always failing. right now my phone again is in the service center with damage touch screen (cannot align screen).

wil keep you posted if anything good news happens to my phone

the same thing happened to me bro,  after a week of using my omnia 2 i don't know but my internal storage of 16gb is missing. I tried almost any troubleshooting listed by google but it didn't help restore the missing memory. What i do is go to Samsung service center in Greenhills and have them check my phone. After an hour they said that they will have to replace some chips on my unit but they dont have the stock so i must wait two weeks inorder for them to order the chip. I insist that the store where i bought my phone must replaced it because it's only one week old. They issued me a certificate proving that the phone is defective and must be replaced by a new one.

first time i lost my storage was i think 3 days after purchase. warranty covers if the phone has a defect with in one week they will replace it with a brand new unit omnia ii. ONE WEEK only for brand new replacement. now my warranty for parts and services is good for ONE YEAR and in six months time of use my storage failed 3 times including the first one. they said on the fourth time that my storage will fail i can ask for a certificate and if its still on warranty they will replace it with a brand new omnia ii. maybe if im lucky i can negotiate a replacement other than omnia ii. (crossing fingers)

no latest firmware or phonepart or whatsoever for philippines omnia. I think our engineers are too lazy for this. I just went to samsung service center lately to have them fixed my phone. I ask for upgrade but they say no upgrade yet since the JA2. so sad we have to mod our phone which are leaks from other country. Anyway, good enough for me cause I always keep the firmware and ready to "downgrade" incase I need service. :) cheers

enjoying my JF5 ver T lite room by master Lancez ^_^
