Well,I haven't tried this.Only thought it's just a modified version for Italian WM, making the Italian storage card's name 'scheda memoria' be available.

Maybe you can try this method from whx_100 at kingmoile.net of China:
1.Download the tool Pako777's tool at here and unzip it:
http://www.modaco.co.../i900-executor/
2.Flash the .mst to your i8000;
3.Synchronize your i8000 with PC;
4.Excute Pako777's Excutor.exe,choose 'Tools' tab you can see as this:
 1.jpg   77.95K   144 downloads  
Then press 'Go'.
5.Choose DSK1and press 'Go'
Wait a few minutes you'll get the info where the .bin you dumped is.

Doing above may get the .bin you want as whx_100 says.I have tried it successfully.Maybe you could have a try if you have no other options.

I have tried this today and selecting dsk1 in Pako's executor, you get the correct rom image file.

Just tried and it's working great!
Maybe it would be better if all needed information are in one place instead of referencing to them (ie, I had a bit problems with step 4. until I realized
where and which files I needed to copy/rename).
Anyway, great work and thanks for the "cookbook"!

I have a problem, on startup I have errors on poutlook and welcome not signed or without certificate.
How I can solve this ?

1. only need to change the .rgu and .provxml file in zzzzzMyMods folder.
based on my experience for building the Italian lite rom, only need to change the Name and the Path (or Program Name) for the key. (It's different in different language)

2. you forget to include zzzzzMyMods to OEM folder or un-select it in BuildOS.... there's a custsat.dll in such folder, you will get poutlook error without this file.

There're lots of softwares (e.g,themes,Sense 2.5,etc) can only be installed in my device.So a personal customed lite rom,especially with every software I want,none of software I don't need, is a must for me.

Xip.bin => the dump for you rom is successful? if you dump a normal rom in romtool.exe, it should have such file in there.

the other 2 lines is not an error, because this is not a beta kernel, don't need to patch it.

you don't have Xip folder under XipTools, please create it, my is like this:
 xip.png   114.67K   126 downloads

and, execute dump in romtool.exe again.

i cannot create xip dir... maybe hidden dir, coz i can create different folders, but not xip named

Files/Folders Moved to D:\i8000rom\i8000kitchen\I8000NXXJD1\XIPTools\Xip\

created but hidden, or what??
strange...

SOLVED:

there was file named Xip without ext. deleting file and everything works fine
