I've got a non rooted stock Vodafone UK legend, the power button went a bit funny so they've exchanged it for a new one,

is there any easy way to put everything onto the new one the same as the old?

I've got astro so can see the backup apps bit but i'm thinking more like a complete clone job!

50 views and no answer :(

FYI using the backup/restore with the same sd card isn't really the answer as,

when you put the old card in new phone - you need to do a factory reset to get asked "do you want to restore from sd card?"

it said it did it but i couldn't actually see what it had restored! - ie no change.

Hi,

It depends what you have that needs to be restored, I use WaveSecure which lets me back up my SMS, Phone Logs and can do my Contacts. I use MS Exchange sync though which contains my calendar, email and contacts so I am not too concerned about them.

If you simply want the above 3 Wavesecure do a 30 day trial which should be enough to simply copy between 2 phones, after that it is around £10 a year.

Hope that helps.

Thanks

James

i use wavesecure but anything it could do was on google anyway - i meant apps and stuff.]

thanks tho.

turns out the backup/restore is only for same handset use - probably for security.

have to do it again tomorrow as my 2nd legend has also broken, being replaced again

Have you tried MyBackupPro or Titanium Backup (both in the market)? They both have the ability to backup all your applications and settings to your SD card. I'm currently using Titanium and have no problems with it.
