How do you add the reg file? :S

use any explorer, for exampl. resco explorer with registry plugin. New version of resco - already have that plugin.

AGPS program from samsung's other device (samsung i8180c). (Also include the AGPS server registry setting for Google's SUPL server)

But... in my i8000 device, I don't feel any different for this.... I just test it again, it's very fast in my device now (also with gpsfix patch)....

In this cab, also include a GPSSetting.exe support AGPS setting.

samsung_agps.cab

And... there's other method to enable AGPS like this:

1. dial *#1472365# for execute nogarder gps program.

2. click menu -> settings -> gps, change operation mode to 'MS-based' (default is 'Standalone', this is only for XTRA)

3. click menu -> settings -> GPRS (AGPS), input the google's server => 74.125.113.192:7276

4. click menu -> settings -> security (AGPS), change SSL Setting to disabled.

5. click menu -> get position, this should connect to AGPS server to get the data, if everything work fine, you should get message like this:

SUPL Flow: Unkown Status

SUPL Flow:SUPL START

SUPL Flow:SUPL POS INIT

SUPL Flow:SUPL POS

SUPL Flow:SUPL END(0)

Guys,

it works very well on my heavily modified but still not flashed stock Bell ROM.

I do have some questions though. Do we need to apply the changes from the post http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...00-i8000-omnia/ or not? Is it going to make things better or worse? Do those tweaks work in combination?

Thank you

I want to know what's the gps problem this fix? I didn't do anything to my gps and with XTRA my i8000 can fix position in 5 seconds. Is this gonna make it faster than 5 seconds?

Answered my own question. The combination of the tweaks did not work for me. When I use the registry modifications and the cab from this thread ONLY it work very well. The cold lock is under 45sec and the warm one is almost instantly.

Can this be modified to work with WiFi?

You have wifi on the motorway....? :)

:)

agps/xtra is useful until you lock first time.

Then you can use it's data for at least 4 hours.

Lock in your back garden and off you go :)

Where did you get the four hour window info? I don't doubt you, I just have never heard of it.

I've installed the patch in the first post but I don't see any change (more than 1 minute to fix)

one question...

there are at least 5 suggestions in this thread:

1) the tweak in the first post

2-3-4) three different .cab in the fourth post

5) the twu2 post

Which is the one that "work like a charm"?

Enabling aGPS, the XTRA will not work anymore?

Thanks for answering.

must install from the firs post.

>Which is the one that "work like a charm"?

from the first post. Of course it depends what rom you are using and mostly important thing - what is your omnia phone part.

>Enabling aGPS, the XTRA will not work anymore?

will work.

>Thanks for answering.

You are welcome.
