I'm very pleased with the improved performance of my i8000 since flashing with a lite version of I8000NXXJG2, but there are a few apps that I miss, for example, the voicerecorder and optical character recognition, for example.

Is there any repository for these applications that would allow me to retrieve them ?

Should I have somehow backed them up before flashing my ROM (if so, how ?).

you can install them by cab files

I8000NXXJH2_all_cab.7z.001 (45 MB)
http://www.multiupload.com/SGEB5QIF40
I8000NXXJH2_all_cab.7z.002 (45 MB)
http://www.multiupload.com/AZNUF4KFPW
I8000NXXJH2_all_cab.7z.003 (28.5 MB)
http://www.multiupload.com/9YKLW4Z9IN

download the files and extract them. then you will find all the samsung cabs inside.

Many thanks for that. I take it I can 'safely' install everything, and then choose to delete the ones I don't want, all without affecting the improved performance my new lite ROM gives me ?

I'm just thinking that part of the reason my factory ROM was so alwful was due to it being clogged up with apps. So as long as I can delete something completely, then I'll give this a go.

Could you do me a favour and test DMC (conected home) because it doesn't work with my ROM.

Thanks for that Speedfrog, worked perfectly.

I realise now my last question was non-sensical as after extracting the files, I can of course choose which CAB to install in the first place.

Piotr, do you only need to know if it installs, or if it is working ? I've never seen this application before - what is it ?
