joser1309 posted in the massive thread that he fixed his battery probs by updating his phone part to JF1

I did the same thing and am happy to report it worked!!

i now see android system using 97% of battery and phone standby using minimal 1-2%!!

I have i8000L and am on Bell (850/1900) so no need to worry about flashing your phone part!!

JF1 can be found here ---> http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...t-kingmobi-net/

Good luck!

that's good news! Do you need to customize radio setting in *#*#4636#*#* ? or just leave it as default?

I was thinking of upgrading the phone part the last few days as well

How many radio are running at the same time in Android ???

One "hardware" radio ( in flash ) + one "software" radio ( the JA1 in ext2.tar\sd ) ??? :(

As far as I know, software radio is not used.

Well, this thing like those other things that go well for some people and not so well for others.

My phone ROM (or whatever you call it) has been JF1 since I flashed JH2 ROM (much earlier than android comming out), and sometimes my android setup will last lots of time, while other times it will eat the battery pretty fast.

Regards.

im using

PDA: JF5

CSC: EUJE1

PHONE: XXIL1

can run whole day with normal usage. Still not as great as winmo (can last like 4 days?) but can last a whole day.

no sod, sleeps fine (90% of the time)

2g only though

Check out this post in the general thread: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?s=&sho...t&p=1631756

The phone part used by shoarmabakpao is XXIL2, and aerovolce's is XXIL1. The PDA and CSC used are different from aerovolce's: PDA: I8000NXXIL5

CSC: I8000XENJD9.

I wonder whether the XXIL phone part might be the key to solving our battery problems...I've been trying to deal with this battery problems ever since I started using the O2Droid (I only get 4-5 hours out of it).

eboot shouldn't matter as its not running when android takes over.

phone part is still running

gps and/or cpu setting could possibly be carried over but not 100% positive
