Hello Paul!
XDA members who have the Arc are claiming they successfully unlocked the BootLoader of their Arc, if this is confirmed I hope you can root it and begin to build a Rom for it

I already satisfy my Arc speed & function... so far no need root it...

no one on XDa or else has unlocked the bootloader yet

The post you're linking is just to help determine whether the bootloader on your device will be unlockable when SE decides to release their tool or the key has been decrypted, nothing more, nothing less.....

As of today Sony Ericsson has released the Arc bootloader unlock for unbranded devices.
