Hey all!

Would Cyanogenmod be possible for Omnia 2?

I looked soo much on this about installing this manually but I found nothing :( Spent hours on search but no result :(

Does anyone know something about this and how to port this to our device?

I also found this: http://forum.xda-dev...de for Dummies]

It's for the Sony Ericsson X10 but I'm pretty sure we could use this guide to just make a starter I think

Except some things like wifi spica's one should work after some config modifications. I booted it long time ago.

That sounds great!

Could cyanogenmod be included in an update? It seems I can't get it working right >.<

With an fully working cyanogenmod we could just apply theme's from the net and also enhance our audio quality through DSP Manager. My headset on my omnia 2 without DSP manager has a very poor display of bass. If I connect the same headset to another phone with DSP Manager the display of bass feels so much realistic. More like our SRS WoW HD which we had in Windows Mobile.

I have been looking through those files but I came across some gingerbread files for our omnia 2. Should I try to use those aswell? Anyway I will try it tomorrow after school, it's now 11PM so no time to do it now.

No, it can't be as an update. It's different compilation.

If it can't be as an update, could it be build into the next (beta) android?

You don't understand. Cyanogen Mod is not an update, it's a modification of original android sources, so it can';t be built into next beta.

Okay I get it. I will try to make it working and if I get it ever working I will surely share it with the community!

An unofficial build of CM isn't a bad idea if it will solve the usual issues plaguing the android builds.

Just thinking out loud but perhaps efforts would be best spent on that.

I have it almost fully working and using daily since Tuesday. Probably only GPS left to test.
