THIS GUIDE ONLY WORKS ON JELLYBEAN BASED ROMs - ie. right now - my CFX2.

This guide will show you how to get a fully functioning version of Google Now for JellyBean working. It's a hacky method but it works

So you've installed a JB based ROM. What now?

• Download my special GAPPs package and the Voice Search apk from http://goo.im/devs/t...15-stripped.zip
  
• Flash this in recovery
  
• Reboot into JB
  
• Set up your Google account etc.
  
• Install the Voice Search apk from step 1
  
• Click the "Google" app in the app drawer
  
• Set up Google Now
  
• Got to app drawer. And click the one saying Voice Search
  
• Click on the mic and say something to verify it works.
  
• Go to Settings, Location Services and Enable "Google's Location Service"
  
• Go back into Google Now (Google app) and click the menu button and go into settings
  
• Go to privacy and accounts and enable "Location and Google Search" and "Search on Google.com"
  
• And use Google Now as you please!

Yeah - 230 is about right. But I've stripped down the next CM10 release so then partitions can go down in size again.

Doesn't work for me. Won't let me talk :/ keeps saying 'didn't catch that, try something else'
This happens as soon as I press the mic button. I'm on wifi.

Yeah - thought that might happen. You need my newest JB release. Wait for me to post it.

Okey dokey. Great that you've finally fixed it though! Really looking forward to it!

After google now, the only major step is the PB.

But, I assume that cannot get any better until you get some sources etc?

Well actually the new build also smoothes things out a bit more. PB is more of a concept than a physical thing in the system. So no don't need any sources. If anything it is a kernel issue.

You NEED to be on the latest (today's) CFX2 build.

Nope, got the latest build, still not working.

You need to use the "Voice Search for Google Now" app. Not the Google Now inbuilt voice search.

I am, it keeps saying 'Sorry, I don't understand'

I'm on wifi, is this the issue?.. Basically, the voice search for google doesn't work.

Yh this is the error I get from within the "Voice Search for Google Now".

Google now works when writing it down, but voice search doesn't work whatsoever. :'( am sad.
