oops i messed up. i used cmupdater from CWM 5 and my phone got bricked . im gonna see if i can fix it through an update.app. will notify on progress

Using CM Updater , worked like a charm
All apps and settings intact... WiFi toggled on straight away and no freeze so far

yes but just restore from tb or reflash the zip, the update got rid of everything in the system/app folder so that why its gone

Wifi doesn't freeze now. Wi-Fi hotspot caused a freeze once but won't do it again. Is the text glitch fixed now? I never got it to be honest.

Am I the only person still getting wifi crash problems after using ota update to r2? Almost every time I turn wifi on or move in or out of wifi range it hangs completely and needs battery pull? I was using the Chinese Huawei b926 before flashing CM9. Any ideas anyone? PS love everything else about the rom!

I've seen it once since flashing R2. It looked as though the text was trying to spin backwards, if that makes sense.

unmount and remount system and try again, the new recovery takes a bit of hammering before stuff work or you could just copy the apk into the system/app using a root explorer.
which ever is easier for you

Evening all, i got tiny problem, and not sure how to solve it. So thing is....i flashed latest CWM, than did full wipe in CWM (data/cashe, cashe part., dalvik cashe, formated system) and got first boot and set up my account and all, and first time i turned on wifi, i got freeze and pulled battery, turned on phone and always get freeze at cm bootscreen with no way booting into system. I tryed instaling old recovery, instaling R1 again, and all variants with old and new CWMs and both ROMs and always manage to boot into system only first time after flashing, and always get freeze with first time wifi on, with no way booting it again. I hope some one will understand the problem and offer some solution. And to add, i tryed other roms and no problem with them.

I can confirm that r2 is faster too specially less laggy while playing YouTube videos

R2 seems to have resolved the wifi crash for me.
