Btw. I deleted Baidu internet browser from this rom, but it was looking nice, although chinese.
So I checked later on play and installed it (non chinese). A very good browser I`d say.

Ok, thought I'd give this rom a try. On initial boot the system is set to Chinese language, easy enough to go to settings and change.
Everything seems to work, all seems smooth and pretty slick.
I thought I'd try a custom kernel and can report that Paul Millbank's latest release works fine on this rom.
The only Chinese stuff left I can see is on the lock screen.

i would like to try the middle ota vetsion but link is in chines? which one is to downliaf and if install can i select english lang.has anyone tried it?

- If you flash rom, and gapps, both while in CWM, you can change to englesh as system boots to first screen.

I did forget to flash gapps when I flashed the rom and rebooted to CWM to install it after I'd changed the language.

you would flash the ota diff zip ONLY if you already have the Baidu v19 rom installed (or you have v20 and the new v21 comes out), otherwise just flash the whole v20

find the U8818 picture, and click the ROM20 to the right of it, and then either click the full v20 or the v19-v20 update...

ofcourse, if you use dakok's stripped version, than you would also have to strip any chinese apps from the update, or the install might fail

does anyone have full version without chnese aps.is the rom in chinese langue or is it just some apps? i would like to try this rom but not sure abouy the langue

I'm on dakok modifyed version: on wifi my play store doesn't connect (on mobile data works good). Any other apps (facebook,etc...) works great in wifi,except google play store.Any suggestions?

Well, it doesn`t matter - you`ll probably be impatient - wanting to try another rom soon
On the other hand, if you fall in love with this one - there`s new version comming up in two weeks.

Play store plays just fine on wifi/mobile over here. But I had wifi conectivity problems on B952 roms, B944 vas fine regarding this problem.

Did you modified the latest version? (V20...or 19?)

You can go to settings, security, lock screen, and change the lock screen mode to slide from "favorite search words" or something like that, and you will have a clean lock screen with no Chinese. I don't remember exactly, because I've changed the ROM now.

why did you change rom.what did you thonk of it.what are you on now.im on lighting rom and wondering if this is any better.it dors look slick.

Aha! Thanks I was struggling to find settings for the lockscreen. I've done as you say and 'slide' is much better.

did you read the first post? dakok ALREDY stripped the chinese apps, and yes, everything else is in english
