[ROM][4.2.2][Lzy] Color OS 2.0 [Repack]

Color OS is android variant from Oppo phones. It looks like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtHzkr05upY

What's out:

About ten useless China apps

What's in:

Support for WCDMA network (original rom was TDSCDMA), UI language set to english, added Android L keyboard

What's bad:

Didn't find anything yet  :)

What's good:

Very loud sound and much better than usual audio recording level. Stock app records in mp3 format

Rom is very smooth, almost like AOSP although is filled with many features. It consumes 0.6 - 1.2GB  RAM at average.

Antutu score is 31987, 3D score is 8170

You won't be dissapointed. I hope  :)

Download

Installation instructions:

- Download zip file (rom) and gapps and transfer that to SDcard
- Turn on debugging on your phone, turn off quick boot, turn off phone (some folks remove battery now :))
- Press vol. up and power button together for at least 10 seconds.
- You are in CWM now (probably)
- Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition
- Mounts and storage: Format System, Cache, Data. Go back
- Advanced: Wipe Dalvik cache, Reboot recovery
- Install zip from SDcard -> choose zip -> your rom (zip)
- Reboot to system
Leave your phone now for 5 minutes, let it take a breath.

- Repeat the procedure for flashing gapps (just install, no wipes/formats needed)

(don't format Data if you use TWRP recovery, only do first four wipes in menu)

Bugs in this release:

  • SIM shows no contacts (but you can export them from SIM to phone memory)
  • SIM PIN lock should be turned off
  • Whatsapp FC (SIM related I guess) - It works with DISA Messenger! :D
  • Use rebooter to turn the phone off (else it doesn't boot properly, you should boot from CWM then) - fixed
  • Some have problems with proximity sensor (me not :))

P.S.

Just for reference: A similar release from APKhot - download

Thanks again dakok!

Is it based on AOSP?

4.2.2 or 4.4.2?

Any other languages besides English and Chinese?

How's camera quality & battery life?

Edit: sorry, I didn't notice the header ;-)

Don't know how to tell if it's AOSP based?

It's 4.2.2 as the headline tells :P

It's multilanguage. It has 5 languages:

Three Chinese variants

English (USA)

English (South Africa)

:D

Camera is UCamera and it gives very good pictures.

Shoots in 4864x2736 resolution with 4MB average image size

Battery looks very good for now :)

Notifications are OK and I can't

read SIM card directly. The only way to have

contacts is to export them to phone in phone

settings or have them from google backup.

It is unusual approach but it works :).

Or there is a setting somewhere I didn't notice :)

Strange. Twitch! loads all of my contacts in doubles (SIM and phone) without problem???

Could it be that China put sanctions on Serbia? :D

Someone please try the following:

" All ColorOS in which there is a little trick you can display the hidden language system without root. You open the dialer and bash the following: * # 0000 #. Then, under the system settings will appear in all the hidden language."

It's working in this rom?

Thanks!

Cool, thanks Dakok, I'll give it another go later then. I noticed it didn't have exchange services so I restored a 4.2.2 one I had on backup which got me a bit further but kept force closing.

Also is there a full screen camera in that rom other than the little widget one?

Thanks

Google e-mail app

Email_JB.apk

Exchange2.apk

It is google's email app, tested in another rom so it should work.

Use root explorer to copy both files to System/app folder and set permissions according to other

apk's there

Reboot

(It might work simply by starting apk's but I don't remember that for sure)
