Guest Paul [MVP]
I'm really missing Phone Pad from my HTC devices that allows T9 input... does anyone know of any good alternatives? I've even tried to get Phone Pad running on the A701, no dice yet... ;) P

Guest murf62
Transfer it to the phone wherever you want then click on it on the phone. It will then install & you can remove the .cab file from your phone when it's done.

Open filemanager and click the file, this will start the installation process.
Guest arita99
Thanks murf62, I installed it but it still doesn't work. It's like my phonepad .cab file. When I select Intellipad as the input method instead of keyboard, nothing happens, it stays in keyboard. Is there anything I have to do first? Guest murf62
Nope, I just selected intellipad then did a soft reset for good luck. Works fine for me. Can someone else try it on an a701 to make sure I'm not the exception here? Edited April 3, 2006 by murf62

Guest murf62
It comes up in the list at the bottom. Click the little arrow next to the keyboard icon as if you were changing to transcriber.

Guest gazbert
Yes IntelliPad is in the list, I also soft reset after the installation but still nothing. Same thing happens to me sometimes an my A701. Sometimes IntelliPad works fine. Others I click it but it just stays on the keyboard. If I reset it works sometimes but not others. It's getting really annoying cos I'm so used to my MDA Compact II.
Guest jn753
I install the .cab & Intellipad appears in the Input menu fine & it works... then on the next software reset, it disappears from the Input menu & I have to reinstall (to Device) from the .cab once again. Since I software reset my A701 about twice a day, this .cab file is not proving very useful, although the software is good when it is in memory (so to speak). :)

Guest pna
Just bought an A701 - brilliant phone....but also wanted intellipad. Downloaded from here, installed direct to device, but no sign of it at all when I click the keyboard icon (even after a soft reset). Sounds like I'm not the only one - has anyone come up with a reason for this as yet?
Guest rohinsadh1
Intellipad v1.0 Enjoy If anyone knows how to make it remember my word entries after a soft reset, I would appreciate it? Hi, I have I-Mate K-Jam and have the T9 phone pad as shown by you pre-installed. The problem I face is every time I re-boot, the default input type goes to "keyboard" and I prefer phone pad & have to change it. Any reg entry which I could modify to keep phone pad as my default input type ? Thanx. R.
