Rapid's Semi-Lite ROM with and without TF3D 1.3

Hey I used this rom for a while. It randomly hangs after using it for a few hours after flashing. And when it hangs it doesn't even start so I needed to hard reset. That happened 3 times and then I losed my interest.

CSC:I800HTGYJC2

PHONE:I800XXJB2

So I switched back to TWU's ZHJC2 rom. I still liked the TF3D in your rom. It was snappy and didn't use so much resources. Can you tell what files did you use? Even better would be a all-in-one .cab

Could you give us a break down of the current issues?

Also have you considered a 6.1 rom with sense 2.5 . would have lots of ram there!

Issues in Sense 2.5 (under test, so this is not everything):

- SMS Tab not working

- No SMS notification sound

- Can't send SMS (the Sense does not add the receipent(s) to the SMS)

- Missing CommManager

- Album not working correctly

- Twitter page not working

- Cannot add picture to contact when you put a person to contacts page when it has not yet assinged photo

- Cannot edit contact

- Calendar not fully working

- Some other things not working in Options tab (notifications does not have switches, location, etc)

Fixed lately:

- Photoalbum works correctly (99%, changeable favorite folder and faster than 1.3 :P )

- SMS tab working, but still can't send SMS

- SMS notification works

- Topaz CommManager integrated

- can add appointments in calendar

Open this site:

At "Enter an International Location" enter your city.

If it exists, the adress looks something like this:

http://www.accuweather.com/world-index-for...ZOLNOK|&u=1

We need the LocCode

EUR|HU|HU017|SZOLNOK

Put it in the locations.txt like this:

Country, County, City, AccuWeather code

Something like this:

Hungary,Jasz-Nagykun-Szolnok,Szolnok,EUR|HU|HU017|SZOLNOK

Copy the locations.txt and the CmdWC3.exe to the phone.

Run the CmdWC3.exe

Wait until the messagebox pops up with "ok" message.

If does not works, then soft reset,

Your city will be in the locations list.

Do you have an indication, time wise, as to its release date?

I don't know. We're working on it hard. :( Some bugs already fixed, like I mentioned before, but we're still have some.

I think your problem is with the CSC. Which language it has? I mentioned before, you need to use english CSC, and I think JC1 version.

We're trying to create a cab, but with cab installer, more things does not work than in the cooked version. We don't know why.

Hi, Rapid81. I've managed to install Sense 2.5 as a *.cab file. Here what I have done:

I flashed my O2 with Garry's JC1 WinMo 6.5 Ulite ROM.

Install

1. install sdkcerts

2. install NEWEST OpenGLESv1 (reset)

3. install AudioManager

4. install OemDiamAudioMgr

5. Make back up of original mms.dll (copy from \Windows directory)

6. install Sense - 2.5.2011.3030 for WM6.1 beta

7. after restart go to settings - today - disable sense 2.5

8. install Noooboody TF3D album/audio fix

9. install Phone Canvas 3.40.1920.1930

10.Put back to \Windows preserved original mms.dl

11.Reset and ENJOY

OPTIONAL

12.install Co0kies home tab mod

13.install Co0kies home tab editor. l

14.Reset and ENJOY

Almost all tabs in Sense 2.5 are working EXCEPT some lines in Settings, I still can't change Home tab wallpaper for example.

My question to you is haw you've managed to add appointments in calendar?

Something in the registry. I don't know. I don't want to spend hours to find out, especially when I never used it, ever. Sorry. Maybe just the CHomeManager missing at StartUp.

One of the best rom I ever flashed and didn't really find any bugs.

Didn't flash my CSC, Eboot or Phone part just PDA and i'm able to view chinese, japanese and korean fonts without installing any additional font patches.

Restored the network setting solved all GPRS/3G problems!

Disabled the samsung sms/mms which removed the irritating notification message sound and display.

Installed your Final Album Fix patch!

Reinstalled the O2Flash again which removed the irritating system message when using O2Flash.

Installed xdashutdown.cab as your rom doesn't come with any soft reset program.

So add up everything this is a perfect rom!

We fixed many of the bugs, but still have some. The main problem is the SMS sending, but we have an idea to fix it. Right now, the SMS sending, Facebook and twitter missing. Today, People (some bug with photopicking, but works 100%), SMS (reading), Internet, Calendar (some minor picture problem but works 100%), Album, Music, Weather and Settings (some minor problem with missing files) works well.

Memory management still good (70-75MB after boot and not goes below 50MB).

Free space still good (~120MB).

Speed really good. I will create a video on the weekend.

One suggestion if you allow me ... will you ever create an ultralite rom only with sense 2.5? Personally I hate all the samsung stuff.

Hi Rapid,

I noticed that you had removed the widget engine from the rom. Is there anyway I can get a cab file to reinstall the widget engine back? I have tried installing the add_widget_engine_v2.cab and i am able to install widget and launch the widget but the scrolling is not working. Thank.

Flased you ROM(without TF). It was great and no need to installed additional language pack/font and I can read Chinese. Initially I had problem on GPRS connection but finally solved.
