Battery life

I found SpareParts to be a good app to detect apps that are killing the battery life. Typically it is an app not letting the CPU sleep (Partial wake usage). In both cases I have had issues it has been a widget acting up. In both cases I removed the widget, and re-added it, and everything was fine. I had this with the stock News and Weather app, and the Sense Clock / Weather widget.

I get around a day to a day and a half of battery life, but as I charge it every night this is fine. I have GPS, 3G, Wifi and Sync on all the time and am using the Desire ROM A15 with the latest radio.

Thanks... I'll try - what do I do about the radio? What is the baseband?

Dropped 20% in 6 hours and I really haven't done that much. Is this normal? I checked "spare parts" and the only thing in partial usage that has anything of significance is Android System and the bar is about 50%. In regular battery stats, cell standby is 25% as is Bluetooth and phone idle. Android system is 8%. What radio should I try dangit?

It looks normal. the battery drain on Nexus is huge when playing on the phone. mine drops to 20% in a a hour or 2. if this is how you use it it looks great.

you almost had 100% battery almost for a hour mine drops down in just couple of minuts to 99. you shouldn't worry that much about the battery life. you have two batteries right charge them both and keep it with you i always did that. the battery isn't that big so not noticable it even fits in my wallet :).

My kernel is 2.6.33-1-cyanogenmod and radio os .._4.04.00.03_2

What also can drain a lot battery is when you are on 3g if you not using the internet switch to 2G. low signal can also be a battery drain, it will keep searching for better signal.
