I do not understand what do I do if I have instead of ADW, LP?

Explain please.

P.S. CM 6.1 v 0.4 + LP.

Replace system/app/Vending.apk with the Vending.apk you find in the update package. You can do this with RootExplorer, Estrong (for me not working) or ADB (Via PC and shell commands).

Don't make the same mistake I did and install the market after moving it to /system/app. :)

Market works great after flashing from a zip, a big improvement.

If you have LP you will be stuck in a bootloop because of a small error in the update-script :)

Just adb push or copy paste it instead of the older market.

People with ADW will not have this kind of problem,

Easiest way I found is to open the zip file and change 'META-INF\com\google\android\update-script' to say

show_progress 0.1 0

copy_dir PACKAGE:app SYSTEM:app

Instead of

show_progress 0.1 0

delete SYSTEM:app/Launcher.apk

copy_dir PACKAGE:app SYSTEM:app

Basically just delete the 'delete SYSTEM:app/Launcher.apk' line. Once done, zip and flash with Clockwork.

this is not working for me:(

I was trying yesterday just to push teh vending.apk to /system/app but it FC-d me always. Put the old one back. Worked normal. Now i tried the zip to flash. It flashed normal but the market is still force closing for me. Anybody else had this problem?

Yes I had and I can't install it yet :).I have cm6 v0.4 Richard's rom.guys is this not working because of the rom I've installed on my phone?

EDIT:ok it worked!install the GingerFroyo theme and then flash this and it will work.it looks all nice

Solved the problem, deleted the market, cleaned and tails cache.

Put in the system \ app, I've found Vending.apk, and rebooted the smartphone.

i installed the gapps package from the following site and the new market works fine, the other packages were giving me forced closes

i think i uninstalled the market first and cleared the cache from clockwork recovery menu

works for me with this method:

1. fresh install of aio cm 0.40

2. I am cleared the data of market with Titanium backup and then uninstalled the market.

3. Wipe cache partition in clockwork recovery

4. Flash ZIP. I am using this version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=872526 (gapps-mdpi-20101213-signed.zip)
