Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 For some reason I can't get my e-mail to work. Here are my settings: Account name: Orange Email My name: [My name is here] Email address: [My correct email address is here] NEXT>>> User name: [My username is here] Password: [My password is here] Domain (if necessary): [blank] Save Password: [Ticked] NEXT>>> Server Type: POP3 Account name: Orange Email Network: [The Internet - I have checked that my GPRS is fully working] NEXT>>> Incoming mail server: pop.orange.net Outgoing mail server: smtp.orange.net Outgoing server requires authentication: [unticked] Require SSL Connection: [unticked] NEXT>>> Download the following messages: All messages Entire message NEXT>>> Connect automactically and check for messages: Never NEXT>>>Setup complete. To begin using email, select Finish and select Send/Receive from the Menu. I do this, it goes connecting>logging on>Sending and receiving, and then it just gets stuck here. Help me please!
Guest blewer Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 Try setting to receive headers only. Maybe you have a fairly big e-mail that it is trying to download and that's why it's taking so long?????? Let us know

What shall I do? Can anyone help to make it back to E200 rom? THANKS!
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Try setting to receive headers only. Maybe you have a fairly big e-mail that it is trying to download and that's why it's taking so long?????? Let us know Sorry, but my e-mail still won't work - it still stays at the Sending and Receiving screen. I've tried several username and passwords, and what happens is that when I select send/receive, a dialog soon comes up that asks for my password, so that confirms really, that my username and password are correct. If somebody puts down their settings (or checks theirs against mine) then maybe we can find the problem. Thankyou for helping me :)
Guest blewer Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Toyota-F1.com, My settings are the same as yours :? Not that long ago Orange changed their sign in details, maybe this is the problem? Are you signing in with your mobile number as your user name? I use the username I had before they changed the system. The reason I ask is if you try signing in on the orange website it asks for your mobile number and then your password rather than your user name. Strange
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Well, for some reason it's working fine now! I've tried a couple of times recently logging on Orange Email via the site (I usually use Outlook) and it didn't work - so possibly that was the cause? For the first time since I got my new SPV3, I can send and receive Email! Also, with my username as a mobile number, it doesn't work, but with my username as it ws before, it does work! Now all I need is to change my e-mail address because I keep getting spam on this one....
