Guest geepod Posted January 13, 2004 Report Share Posted January 13, 2004 I hve an original SPV that has been unlocked and which i was using a vodafone pay as you talk sim in. i got it from a friend and have usd it without problem for over 3 months now. last night i went to do a sync (i am using latest version of activesync) and it hung, i went to use phone and it froxe, so i powered it offf and turned back on and ever since all it will do is go to the orange (sun on sea) backgorund botup screen and freezes. i have to take battery off to reset so i can power up again to bring me to the same again. I have just tried doing the reset where you press and hold record and power etc and this just brings me to the canary screen telling me that im using version 0.98. i cant anything other than this canary screen, any ideas ? will downloading the 1.6 update do anything and can i apply it whilst phone is like this, also if i do will it take my unlock for any netowkr feature away ? Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 13, 2004 Report Share Posted January 13, 2004 You're not quite getting the Hard Reset done right. Make sure you have your storage card in the phone then when doing a hard reset, then press and hold the Action button when prompted to "Press any key to enter bootloader".
