I bought xbar 2.0 and installed it, but in the confirmation email I got there was no reg code. It said: Code d'accès: error.  I have written an email to Handango, but so far there has been no answer. Has anyone else experienced this?

ruhande, can you email me again with another email address beacause i can't send your regcode on the chello email (unreachable)

"to enable shift emulation, display xbar and press vol down

while keep pressing this key, you can select text with left and right pad.

or fast scroll using up/down pad.

when you release the vol down key, selected text is automatically copied in the clipboard.

For past text, just display xbar and press vol up."

I just purchase Xbar 2.0 for my i600. I attempted to use the shift emulation described above, but when I press vol. up of vol. down, all it does is close the Xbar window. No tet selection, no fast scroll, no paste text. What am I doing wrong?

Hey All,

xBar sounds like a great utility. However, I'd never purchase software without trying first. Does anyone know if a trial version will become available?

I just bought Xbar 2.0 and think it is great.  I do, however, have two questions:

1) Why is the time displayed in the icon bar, wrapped over two lines?  It looks weird.  How do I get rid of it?  BTW, I don't think this has anything to do with the time attribute in the config file.

2) How do I display the temperature in farenheit rather than in celcius?

Thanks....

1 - i have tried to display time on a single line but this is too smal, but if you want, no problem, i will add 2 new icon, one with time on a signle line an one with no time but number of current process and % of memory load.

2 - see in the skin file : xbar.ini (for compatibility whith xbar 1) TEMPTYPE=0 for °C or =1 for °F

When xbar is on screen, keep rpessing vol down, emulate shift key, you can left/righ with the pad to select text, or up/down to fast scroll (in ie for example)

xhen you release vol down, all the selected text is copied

when i kill xbar by pressing * how can i run it again without reboot phone or go to statup or xbar 2,0 folder and starting it's from there.

and i notice that auto clean of memory not work I have over 90% used memory but xbar still don't shutdown apps to free up memory,

kjk, you cant, if you close xbar then you have to re execute it again, so its either rebooting, going to a file manager and finding the xbar exe and running it from there, or probably the easiest, copy a shortcut of xbar into your start menu, this is probably the quickest way u can restart xbar. Do u have to close xbar often? cos i hardly never have to so i dont mind going to hunt for it in the file manager...

as for your second point, i would imagine that when you get over the 80% level and it auto cleans it doesnt kill apps, instead it sends a command for every app to free up memory (like the oxidos hibernate programs does) but if you are at 90% and it wont go down then i guess something is wrong, only xetra can answer this for sure

Has anyone else had problems with the Action Button not working all of a sudden!? If I hold it in, X-Bar doesn't come up ... but I can't enter anything on the homescreen or in the Inbox either!

Luckily I have Task Manager on the Record key .. so if I quit everything by using "*" in Task Manager ... the Action Button works again...

I'm still not get any response from the "shift emulator" (copy and paste) on my i600. :cry:

Maybe the function needs to be remapped to the number keys (4,5,6...etc.) instead of the vol button on the i600?

Any sugestions / fixes would be greatly appreciated. The Copy and Paste functionality is the reason I purchased this program!?!?

I use the copy and paste plugin that was made for Xbar 1.0. I think it is easier to use than the one in Xbar 2.0. You don't have to hold down the volumekey while using it.

You can download it here:

I think you made the same mistake I did. I thought that the .exe would initiate a windows installation program and ask me a few questions then ultimately place the necessary files on my phone. This is not the case. The files contained in the Xbar2.zip need to be place into a directory on the phone manually. Here are the installation instructions...

http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...ar+installation

installation is the same as Xbar V1.0

Thanks. That would be great. BTW, do you need an icon for xbar to work properly? I would even be happy with an "X" (for xbar) or something simple like that.

2 - see in the skin file : xbar.ini (for compatibility whith xbar 1) TEMPTYPE=0 for °C or =1 for °F

I remember making this change in xbar 1 but I didn't see it documented for xbar 2 and I wasn't sure what the actual key name (TEMPTYPE) was.

Thanks for making such a useful product!

Great app Xetra. Everything is working as it should it be, except crontab. In an earlier post you mentioned crontab.ini but crontab.txt is installed. I presume crontab.txt is the correct one? Anyway, I've tried with both but I can't get an app (trying the calc) to fire up. Any ideas please?

A couple of other questions please (although if they will be answered in the manual then please say so!):

1. What do the following do in xbar_cfg.ini :

'HIDEAPP0=xbar', 'HIDEAPP1=Tray', 'CRONTAB=1', 'ICONMEM=1' & 'DAEMON=1' ?

2. What do the little symbols next to the time indicate? (I think the small explanation mark to the left of the hour is if CRONTAB is enabled? There are also 3 small dots to the right of the time too.)

Thanks again :lol:

Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble when holding the action key it brings up xbar and because my phone is fast (been playing with the GLYPHCACHE on my MPx200) it selects the first running app straight away? You only see xBar flash past real quick!

Is there a way to add a delay before reacting to the key presses?

Great app by the way! :wink:

Great app by the way! :wink:

delay is on 200ms you can chang it

åpen xbar_cfg.ini

//13=ACTION 121=RECORD 48='0' 55='7'

KEY_KILLALL=50

KEY_KILLALLES=49

KEY_CRON=48

KEY_XBAR=13

KEY_DELAY=200; // =0 for no delay

and change 200 to what you want i have 500ms

and restart after change

or you can chang

KEY_XBAR=13

to

KEY_XBAR=121

to get record key launch xbar
