Keypad failure

Has anybody ever heard of or experienced the whole front keypad failing? I've searched the forums and found the odd example of individual keys failing, but the whole lot?

I should maybe admit it happened to my SPV100 after using the phone in sleet and high wind, so moisture got in I guess. But giving it time to dry out, and trying with hair dryer and compressed air hasn't worked. Its off for repair (hopefully!) now, but I just wondered

not heard of that happening, but it might well happen if water gets in....

good result anyway - keypad quickly replaced under warranty, even though more than 1 year old.

Hi, this has just happened to me. All the front keys & joystick have stopped responding.

The number keys & soft keys went yesterday so I hard reset the phone and all keys worked fine after, but today its all gone again inc the joystick so now I can't reset.

I didn't get any water in the phone and i had assumed it wasn't a hardware fault seeing as a hard reset fixed it, how did you go about getting the keypad replaced?

Sounds like the phone is faulty...

You could ring orange and report your problem and see what they say :)

Yeah looks like i'm gonna have to send it off for repair, bit annoying, but hopefully won't take too long.

Just got to find that receipt now...
