hi there......

can anybody check this version on e200 and tell me how it reacts there....

i have made lots of changes and it is for sure real buggy but i want to know how it reacts there.....

it works almost on e100....

also i know i have asked this couple of times but i need what features are wanted what are missing and......

well mainly features on e100 and then e200....as i've got e100 myself....

also i think it is best to apply this patch over my previuos patch and not original one...

Doesn't appear to be any different. Still can't fforwarrd or rewind through files.

A simple facility to jump to a specified time in a file would be adaquate.

Let me know if you want anymore testing done.

What changes did you make?

what happens when u clik on 1 and 3....i rewritten forward and backward.....and also puase and stop....well so problem might be somewhere else.....

also for that facility...i am not good in designing ui.....if you describe more what u expect to be done will be great....

also quick note for missing things and buggy things and what things could be done...?

roozbeh - Hello again, when you press 1 or 3 the phone just locks. this is the feature i most need as watching movies becomes vertually impossible with out this feature. If you could somehow move the slider left to right to navigate through the movie.

everything else works as it did. Still love thte file browser which works really well. Don;'t suppose people are bothered about playing music on this, if you could concerntrate on the video functions this would be good.

Hey roozbeh

The new patch is great and you seem to be getting closer to fixing the memory overload problem. Instead of the whole phone freezing up the app freezes so you can still soft reset the phone.

Here's what i've got so far:

When playing divx films:

Browsing/Loading files - now works fine

Left and right - do nothing

The action key - plays/pauses (works fine)

Keys 1 & 3 - freeze the app

Key 2 -  is another play/pause (works fine)

Key 4 -  does nothing?

Key 5 - freezes the app

Key 6 - fastforwards but any key pressed after that freezes the app

Key 7 - does nothing?

Key 8 - zoom in/full screen (works ok ish) also if you press it while a film is paused it moves on by one frame...cool

Key 9 - rotates screen (works fine)

Keys *, 0, # - do nothing?

when playing audio files:

you cant load an audio file while a movie file is paused, the app freezes

pressing left and right - freezes the app

key 2 and action - play/pause

keys 1, 3 and 5 - freeze the app

keys 8 and 9 - do something, not sure what

all other keys - do nothing

The UI is fine but could you add a quit function to the configure menu and also make it easier to change the key maps. If you had it like pocket tv that would be great. :D

If u need anymore testing help for the e200 why not try comming into MoDaCo Irc (click "Chat" at the top of the page). Im usually there as are alot of others who do coding for apps.

before i download the path, when I press 9 (rotate), the pocketmvp will exit by itself. but after I overwrite the files , i find 9(rotate) is of no use. When i press 9, there is no reaction, why? thanks

and I find if i exit the pocketmvp, i can't use it anymore, unless i turn off the power.....and in the task maneger, i couldn;t find pocket mvp, but the ram is till low...

well well well...

and beta player comes out and to be honest destoryed my fans!!! :))

i think i will no longer work on it as beta player is really far better than this and (i think)it works perfect on e200....

also pocketmvp served us long time...thanks to its original creators and malloc....

my last change to this project will changing key definings to something like pockettv...and also include all latest dlls from pocket pc version....

and will clear code and send both sources and my final distribution to malloc to put them in his site(if willing to)...

I would be a shame if you did stop workin on it. I think PocketMVP is better than BetaPlayer....probably because i've been using for so long :)

Think I agree with roozbeh that PocketMVP looks a bit pointless now BetaPlayer is out. But huge kudos to roozbeh for putting in the hours (and hours...?) of effort to try and get the thing working better...

Roozbeh, FWIW I'm sure malloc will happily host the source code, but if not I'm happy to host it.
