Windows Mobile refers to both MS Smartphone and Pocket PC. We know that the Mpx300 is a Pocket PC phone.

The MPx300 is a Pocket PC phone.

They're calling it MPx now :)

it will feature wifi and BT and I think it says it will feature Windows Mobile software!

Like mattscholey said, Windows Mobile is the name of the operating system on both Pocket PC and Smartphone.

It's a Pocket PC Phone Edition...

Wow, deja vu! Did you feel that?! :)

theres more pictures of the MPx on PocketPC Italia site

and at first i had my reservations about the MPx, didnt like the design, thought it was too big etc. but with these proper in use pics must say its grown on me, maybe its the lovely blue glow the keypad gives off, dunno, but it is quite a nice looking thing, still to big in my opinion though :)

I once saw a chap on the train with one of those huuuuuuge "3" camshell phones.

He looked a total tit and was doing his best to hide the fact that his phone looked more like a makeup compact!

I think this MPx will look just as silly.....

OK so what happened to all the talk about the MPX220????????????? after all the hassle i've had with my spv its probably the only thing between me and a Treo600 !!!!!!!!

i think the mpx100 looks much nicer to be honest :)

I beg to differ. It still looks to big. I'll probably get a Sagem of a 220.

And then I've got to decide between an iPaq 5550, a XDA II, and an MPx.

i suppose it all depends on the specs, but i cant see the sagem phgone beating it, the sagem wont have a 1.3mp camera, and i doubt the sagem will have a 200hr standby, of course we'll have to wait and see to compare them, but the mpx100 is smaller than the spv/e100 so it'll do for me

well the 220 really is the daddie in my eyes (depending upon specs of course)

just due to the obvious power saving by not having the screen activated everytime you bang your phone into somthing or i assume the screen not turning itself on for no reason as mine seems to!

Yes i know the treo does'nt have a clam shell but the battery life is so much better (assuming you never need to replace it!) as you can tell i'm yet to be sold on the battery life reported for the mpx100 and as it wont even be out till q3 or q4 and my upgrade time is june 26th i dont see it being around then!

ho hum mabey i'll wait till next year to see how things are progressing :D all the bugs may be ironed out by then :) and battery life will be proven rather than just hinted at or lied about Orange!!!!!! :x

the reported battery life for the MPx100 is the battery life given by Motorola, not Orange :)

its all down to personal preference, candybar or flip

but the mpx220 hasnt been officially announced by Motorola, so i wouldnt expect it any time soon (if it ever is released, it could just be a concept device that is never released)

Fingers crossed it has some accuracy then!

Just out of curiosity which phone do you use Midnight? battery any good under normal use?

i use an spv e100, get about 2 days with normal use, roughly 4 days on standby if i dont touch it (not far off the reported 100hrs). I also have an SPV with a damaged battery (lent it to a mate, treated it like a nokia, discharged recharged, discharged recharged etc.) now i only get 1 day standby

sounds about right for the standard spv just had a new battery after getting the original one to last up to 6 hours! now with the new i get the luxury of a whole day with next to no usage! :)

ho hum

my old spv originally had 3 days standby, its only since leding it to a mate its come back screwed

Must admit i've been sounding pretty damn negative about my spv for my recent posts i do love this phone its just the (i wont swear) Battery life an instability! they do ruin it for me,I read ebooks on it alot and the only way to do it is plugged to the charger! :) shame i cant rely on the "|@ battery! should add here the battery life as stated is not when i sit for an hour or so reading on the phone's battery if it was i'd not still be whinging! :D

Early days in technology always have hicups!

That's something that could have been helped if HTC or Microsoft had thought of including more substantial controls for the backlight.
