Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 CoolSmartphone are definitely on a roll... they now present pictures of the MPx100. It looks like Motorola are really getting behind Smartphone, and this model too looks like a beauty, With Candy Bar and Clamshell devices in their stable, they must be on a winner :) P mpx100.gif
Guest bal Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 now THAT looks cool 8) (p.s. is my avatar moving)
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Now THAT is a nice looking phone. I still dont understand the statement that this is an entry level phone.
Guest Taoski Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 wow wow wow - feckin wow! I hope these come out soon.... like - err a month before my contract renawal date! yahoo! ps.. it aint moving mate... give it a kick
Guest bal Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 any specs on the phone - can't see whether it has built in camera, i presume so.. p.s. kicked it... and broke it..
Guest peekie Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 least with this the choice will be better as if you dont want a clamshell you only have one choice the spv this should keep orange on their toes
Guest Vector Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 This is THE phone for me! :) Motorola build quality in a candy bar style *drool* =p~
Guest Pondrew Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 I'm with you Davidrm. I was beginning to consider the MPX series even though I'm not the biggest fan of clamsell phones ( ). Now I expect this to be my next Smartphone.
Guest kyrkesmith Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Very cool. I think I'll still go for a 220, because this is bound to be a bit of a brick (although not as much as SPV series). It's definately not going to be the size of a T610, which is, IMHO, the biggest a candy-bar should be.
Guest stu_lowe2003 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Looks pretty nice. Size wise it doesn't look too bad. If that screen is the same size as the mpx200 then it looks to be about 9-10cm long which aint too bad. Stu
Guest ClintEastman Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 I like I like, go Moto go!
Guest Richie M Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 what a view for my return :) Come on Moto lets 'ave it :D
Guest Pondrew Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Hmmm. Just hope it doesn't require mini-SD cards like the 220. Don't think I'd like that
Guest morpheus2702 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Woh, now the SPV has some SERIOUS opposition. I wonder if or with what HTC are going to retaliate with?
Guest benzo Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Woh, now the SPV has some SERIOUS opposition. I wonder if or with what HTC are going to retaliate with? Who cares what they retaliate with. Once the HTC monopoly is broken, HTC/Orange are going to regret they day they decided to market sub-functional smartphones to the general public without proper support.
Guest kyrkesmith Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 In a way I think we should be a bit greatful to HTC/Orange, because they effectively made Smartphone take off (as much as it has). Tbh, the Sendo phone would have got as far as all of their other phones. And I really don't think Motorola would have taken the plunge and produced MS Smartphones if they were the first manufacturer to do so. But admittedly, HTC should have done better.
Guest haso0on Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 wooow nice looking phooone so guys any spec abt the phone?
Guest morpheus2702 Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 In a way I think we should be a bit greatful to HTC/Orange, because they effectively made Smartphone take off (as much as it has). By the same token, we should be much more grateful to Motorola for really upping the ante and giving the Smartphone user some meaningful choice!
Guest Maverick Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 Hello Moto :-) ... Watch out.. Nokia ;-)
Guest kyrkesmith Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 I must say that I reckon it won't be too long before Symbian is in the position PalmSource is now in comparison to Pocket PC. That's not to say Symbian will disappear, but it will be used by only one or two handset makers (including, unfortuantely, Nokia).
Guest welshkid121 Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 make it moto make it! i must have. come on moto release specs. =p~ welshkid
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 The keypad looks very similar to the i600 in that the keys sort of step down.
Guest haso0on Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 does it have built-in camera like the MPx220 and 300 with 1.3 Mega Pixel resulotion ?
Guest Pulse Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 "Hello Moto" is definitely an apt phrase for this phone! It's certainly on my wish list!
Guest crafty Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 @haso0on, the moto website says that the mpx100 has a built in 1.3 mega pixel camera with flash
