xbar just show app that are still running in background but when you exit orneta notepad/tester so you close these and these are not running in background that's whey xbar don't show these

Right,

xbar is just an advanced taskbar like the bottom bar in windows.

in a future, version i will include a start bar with icon :)

right

the window orneta notepad seems to be invisible when not focused .... :)

so in order to do not have more than 20 process, xbar only display visible window ... :D

maybe orneta can correct this, elese i can add a param showapp like the hideapp param in the ini file...

Yes same here.

Orneta Notepad is visible in xBar 2.1 (Build Mar 3 2004) the latest version.

Theres a bug ive noticed with xbar 2 and 2.1 and thats then you bring up xbar and press the 2 ket to close all programs, and sometimes the screen will come up as if you have strted to dial a number...pretty irritating.

Hello ?? I just removed 2.0 and installed 2.1 (because I noticed the phone's action button became unresponsive after a while with 2.0) and the phone performs a HARD reset ?? :shock:

xbar get the key down and hide itself but the home screen get the key up event.

This bug is corrected in the next version, and this new version 2.2 will be available (in the next weeks)

Notices something odd : When I activate Xbar 2.1 with the action key the Xbar window very briefly shows "wait home.exe" in the appname region with no icons. Anybody know what that is ? Smartphone resident process ? Part of Xbar ?

yeah i noticed this, home.exe is the exe for the homescreen, its probably just something that tells us if xbar is waiting for another program before it can proceed, i noticed it for another prog once i think.

xbar is able to kill a busy process, so when you call xbar, it display the current thread and if this it very busy, you can kill it by pressing back key or long pressing back key to destroy the process.

Not absolutely sure this is an xbar bug, but I'd never seen it until I started using xbar2, and considering the strong ties to the action button...

Sometimes my action button simply stops working. I can hit the soft buttons, use up/down/etc to navigate, but when I hit action to start a program or select a menu item or anything else nothing happens. If I hold it down to try and get xbar up, nothing happens. Only way I've found to fix it is to reboot the phone, which works everytime, but eventually it happens again. I haven't been able to link the disabling of the action button to any particular event. I'll keep looking but it seems very random.

Anyone else seen this? (Using XBar 2.1)

Oops - just noticed this...

...so I guess that unresponsive action button has been noticed by others, and appears to be around in 2.1 as well. Haven't had my phone reset tho (yay!) :-)

I'm glad that more people have noticed the problem with the non-responsive action key.. It has come so far that I am now forced to soft reset the phone several times a day..

This problem showed up after I installed Xbar 2 and Surealstart. I have temporarily removed the latter but the problem persists.. So my best guess is that it is a Xbar 2 "bug".

I'm not putting down Xbar here.. It's an excellent program and I wouldn't want to do without it. Just has a few little problems that will be solved, no doubt !

Had the action key program with the first version of X-Bar 2 as well.

I have ever seen this bug (very rarely) i don't know if it is an xbar bug... because i have check my code, and it is seems to be clean.

Can you try to change the xbar hotkey ? maybe use the old record key ? or the left menu key ?

i will search again for that.

You know, I had Surreal Start installed too, and have also since removed it and still have this problem. Perhaps a conflict between the two? That might explain why not everyone's seeing it...
