Guest Brody Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 What about windows media, will you be able to skip through tracks and long videos... There'll be no fast forward/seeking in Windows Media Player i'm afraid...
Guest steverae Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 bummer There'll be no fast forward/seeking in Windows Media Player i'm afraid... Wouldn't you think this would be a excellent addition, it's going to force people to use third party apps still, thus clogging up your ram. Never mind, just need to find a media player to handle wmv that can skip.
Guest morpheus2702 Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I don't think of this so much as an addition but a necessary requirement! Can this really be such a problem to engineer?!?
Guest nedge2k Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I cant understand the thinking of MS/O. Surly by now they'd know what we want from our phones and still they fail to deliver. All the best software i use is from third-party, unoffical developers connected to this site. Not one from MS. If unofficial developers can make such great software, why the hell cant MS and O's "offical" developers? Its little things like this that'll make people turn to the darkside...Symbian!!! MS and O need to wake up and realise this.

Microsoft make a great encoding system like wma/wmv which can compress stuff down to tiny sizes ideal for this type of platform then fail to deliver a decent system for playing em back..... Anyone know of an alternative to media player for playing window media files.....?
