Yeah, I'd like to see this implemented too. I never use playlists. Ever! But anyway, it says it has an option for Winamp 5, but even though I have it installed, it's greyed out. Is this not working yet? Posted from my SmartPhone!

No Winamp was supported but is not supported anymore because it is not possible to implent all the things I did with WMP...

good spot kiffy. dont understand anything in it though to be honest! would really like to see someone put it together though

I have put this together and made it available here.

To run this unzip the files on your PC then run the NMCSHost.exe that is in the PC Host folder, then copy the correct .cab file from PPC Cabs to your pocket pc and install it.

You will need the .NET Framework for your PC and the .NET Compact Framework for you pocket pc, you will also need to be running Windows Media Player 9 on your PC. Make sure that you have run a "search for media files" from within media player as this app uses the media library.

I have not made any major changes to this program other than to get it to detect the name of the computer it should connect to. If there is enough demand I will add some enhancements to it and create a proper setup kit.

I will have a look tomorrow why this is not working properly.

I have updated this - so it should now work.

If you remove the exisitng program from your pocket pc, delete the files on your pc and download the new zip file (same link as posted earlier) then install the apps it should now work correctly - there are a few things that can be done to improve this application that I will work on this over the next few days.

Let me know how you get on and if you have any suggestions that you have to improve this.

kiffy, top job, just got it working and it works great.

very nice to sit in my chair and be able to control music. now i have an excellent excuse to hook up the hifi to the computer.

would be nice if you could search through albums as well as artists. would it be possible to have a proper tree system? ie hit albums, then the album you want then have all the tracks pop up?

anyway thanks for that, think i will give up on work today and play with this! :)

this looks really good - gonna give it a shot in a sec

any chance of implementing winamp control and file browsing in the near future?

currently i'm using a homemade system using winamp (with browseamp plugin) and a few bits of asp - i can fully control winamp, browse and search multiple folders recursively and edit playlists from ie. it's not the sleekest implementation but works fairly well - if anyone is interested let me know and i will get the appropriate bits to u

anyone know of a way to automatically connect activesync when re-entering the bluetooth range?

I think an auto connect option would have to be either built in the program or written as seperate software. Shouldn't be too dificult, there are already proximity detection programs for messaging (ProximityMail). Might drain the batt though. Would have to be constantly searching when not connected.

How does your software work? Could you PM it to me so i can have a play?

Edit: Are you talking PPC or SPV? The above relates to smartphone. Dont know if autoconnect progs are available for PPC as i dont have one.

Looks good! Be better when you dont have to bother entering an IP. Why does it use it anyway, if it's via bluetooth?

Hi

It's via Bluetooth but you have to be connected with activesync! Thats why it uses the IP...
