Guest nickcornaglia Posted March 5, 2004 Report Share Posted March 5, 2004 The new Media Player/PPT Player Remote program has got me thinking. Wouldnt it be cool if TV Remotes worked via BlueTooth? Then your BT phone could be programmed to act as a remote, (and Modaco's post count would drop by half.) Someone could create a piece of BT hardware that plugs into the TV to change the channel. (hmmmm...where would it plug into?) Better yet...a device that receives the BT signal, then emits an IR signal to the TV. The device just needs to be somewhere in line of site of the TV. (But then the device would need to be in line of sight for ALL appliances you want to use the universal phone remote for.) Come to think of it...why do I need the phone to be a remote anyway?
