Guest Disco Stu
Fire up Google and do a search for WinZip. It's free :) Make sure they aren't .cab files which the phone will open itself or .rar which is a variation on zip - again you'll need to find WinRAR to open these
Guest scott2eyes
Binarys Smart Explorer can Zip and Unzip files too. (At least it says it can- I've never tried it.) Is there a way to download ZIP files directly onto the phone (ie. with Pocket IE), rather than with a PC? Whenever I've tried it it seems to be going OK, but once finished I get an error message saying one of the files components is missing or can't be found, and the ZIP file is nowhere to be seen on my phone- at least, not in any of the obvious places- IPSM, My Documents, Temporary internet Files etc. (although the GPRS log indicates that the file has been downloaded!) (The reason I ask is that my work's internet connection has a firewall that stops me downloading apparently random ZIP and CAB files.)
Guest Disco Stu
AFAIK you can only download .cab to the phone, not .zip Doh ! Should have thought of Smart Explorer myself :)
Guest PritenC
I much prefer WinRAR, much better than WinZip.
