Guest ratcom Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I had a simular problem as you guys with the "no icon showing on selected shortcuts" in the end this is how I got mine to work (pocket tv was the problem child  ) The really strange thing was when I tried "IPSM/Program Files/PocketTV/PocketTV.exe" as the path for the shortcut the dam thing would not execute (run/load Id just get a hour glass icon for a few seconds then nothing!?) but it would show a icon?! Once I changed it to point to a link it executed fine but no icon!? strange ....... very strange but not a real problem :) Anyway thanks for a great plug in which my non orange MPX200 would be lost without.
Guest RemyJ Posted March 16, 2004 Report Posted March 16, 2004 I'm so confused!! I can't reproduce any of this on my i600. My test homescreen has 77 shortcuts with various combinations locations and file types and every one shows up every time. One thought, can you guys check IPSMApplication DataHome for any *.hif files? They're cached versions of homescreens and I found that clearing them out often resolves "goofy" homescreen issues.
Guest Coucou Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 I had loads of them! i'll let you know if that sorts it. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Coucou Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Just to let you know that removing those .hif files has restored the functionality of the shortcut, but it has again lost the icon. :)
Guest Coucou Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 I've got iexplore.exe as a shortcut not the .lnk, it was showing before (as stated earlier) but now it's not again.
