Yeah fair enough, a different opinion is always welcome. But that is not the reason this has come about! The one and only reason, is verbal abuse of awarner, midnight, monolithix and paul! I seriously cant see how calling people names and making up lies about them does anything except reflect badly on the poster :? Just a few facts for those that dont know: 1) Paul is not Irish 2) MoDaCo is independent and NOT sponsored by Orange or Microsoft (although they have donated prizes and help with the organisation of meets) 3) Kumite is not vaporware 4) Non of the Mods are schoolboys (a quick look at any of our profiles would confirm this) 5) The only reason for msmobiles being banned is his aggressive attitude, and i think his subsequent postings on the newsgroup has justified this

To be honest I've defended him to several others who's asked me to stop linking to his site - at the end of the day he has a bloody good stream of news, and he visits the shows getting pictures etc. I'm all up for free speech and I've stuck with it, through the tirade of abuse - but recently it's become ridiculous, especially in the smartphone newsgroup - and there's hardly a day goes by when a user isn't being abused for no good reason.

Guest peekie Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 One sad point knowone seems to mention is the loss of the microsoft link in the forum , apart from jackets slander ( which is unexcusable ) there was some good things on the open forum . i feel myself because of this fight between jacket has against modaco we have lost a good portal .yes he was way over the top against fellow moderators awarner ,midnight ect , and it was right to ban the swine but its a shame he cant be blocked from that feed .But we all know hes banned from modaco and to be honest there is nothing to stop him signing up under another name to gain access to modaco again,in the end there are sadly no winners only loosers in this case :cry: :cry: :cry:

Guest peekie Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 it should also be pointed out that some people on our site have also thrown insults at msmobiles and jacket i think its time for all partys to grow up and start again , if modaco don't want anything else to do with him ( to which i think is the only real option ) then we should not post things about him in the forum as it keeps the idiot going and probably gives him the buzz he wants . the only way to get rid of him for good is to say nothing and don't give him free adverts all the time and he will disappear :roll: :roll: :roll:
