Thats true enough but if a Schumacher skin was designed then you would need a 21" monitor rather than a smartphone screen just to fit his head on, let alone his ego!!! Not that i don't like him or anything :D Still if a Mclaren one could be knocked up by someone it would be appreciated ;)

Do you have any mclaren pics which look good on the SPV screen? If so, post em, & I'll knock something up for ya! :wink: (much in the same shody fashion as mclaren mechanics seem to do with their £50million cars!! :lol: )

Actually, I think thats a little unfair - its clearly the shape of David Coulthard's head which is causing aerodynamic drag!! ;) Get him in the wind tunnel, I say!!

great work m8! Love the icons!! :D I also really like the colour scheme. Just one thing - when I select the calender plugin, the text turn to bold, & when I have a long bit of text, it goes onto another line, covering up the appt time - change the w="" attribute in the plugin, to reduce the width of the text.

@Jasonkruys - don't know why but i had it in my head that you were using an E200! You're right this won't work on an E100, perhaps it's the reason you've been waiting for to upgrade....

IA Caller ID has worked fine for me post upgrade!?! To get it to work i just placed the pit file in StorageMy DocumentsIA Caller ID Photos and could then set it when Assigning Photos in the Caller ID App.

Id really like to be able to make very simple homescreens, but i was wondering is there a program that can preview the xml i code on the pc? so i can see how it looks without copying to spv?

also how can i position things accuratly on the screen?

@AngelOfRage i use Taoski's quick refresh to quickly send the xml to the phone when it's connected (in this thread). This has saved me soo much time in quickly updating changes, and lets you see exactly how it looks on the actual phone. Only problems i have had are that sometimes it messes up the coulour scheme (sets it to Black rather than whats defined in the homescreen xml). Hope this helps.

Please, pretty please - can someone do me a West Ham skin with the analogue clock on. Mainly need message count, profile, mru, date and time.

Ok I have tried to sort this myself, but with no luck. Is there any way I can modify crafty's excellent mg skin to work on an e100? I figure it is the mru plugin that wont work with it, but I am stumped as to what I can do. Drowning actually :D

No m8 - it uses the e200 Orange plugin, which is, unfortunately, unavailable for other phones. :cry:

EDIT - sorry, that sounded too final! :shock: It can be MODIFIED to work on the e200, you just need to replace the Orange plugin with the e100 version. The only problem will be that the e100 plugin doesn't support the swapping icons, so you will only get the main icon & a background colour when selected.

Sorry - the way I'm trying to describe things is terrible! I really should try to give up drugs!! :D

The plugin for e100 is just the old orange shortcuts plugin, to which you can apply custom icons in the same way as the e200, but no chicon value. Know what I mean?

But of course, it doesn't do any of the fancy stuff the e200 one does, no shortcuts to 'write new message' or anything. I really ought to read my posts after typing them, cvoz after reading that one I confused myself! :twisted:

In a nutshell, you CAN use the old Orange shortcuts plugin for custom icons linked to apps on SPV/e100 - but not for anything else. So you can keep the look & feel of a theme, but not the functionality.

no, not the MRU icons - the MG icons at the top of the screen - the wee gear stick and that!

i did have a look for mclaren pics on the web, but havent seen anything that would inspire an actual design, as opposed to just a background image, & of course if you wanted that you could just use the pics you posted. but i'll keep a look out for anything good. Posted from my SmartPhone!
