This is a little off topic but maybe nöt.

Nodaemön möde allöws yöu tö launch xbar withöut remaining in memöry.

Yöu knöw för xbar 2, it remains in mem. yöu can see it in the icönbar always. Same för xbar 1. You just have tö cönfigure söme strings in the registry.

Nöw förgive mé för i'll usé my xbar and copy pasté my xbar.txt in SD. I think this is

a little löng, hé hé.

Xbar is a simple free TaskSwitcher for

Installation:

------------

Xbar is unsigned, you must unlock your

smartphone before you can run it.

Unzip xbar.exe and use ActiveSync to

copy it on to your smartphone.

DAEMON mode (Xbar will remain in

memory and start quickly)

Launches xbar.exe, and xbar is ready

to be open via the voice record button.

You can add a shortcut to

"IPSMWindowsstartup" so that it

opens when your phone boots.

NODAEMON mode (For experts: Xbar

does not stay in memory and opens

slightly slower) Launches Xbar, then

close when finished. You can add a

entry in the base of register for launch

xbar via the key recording: You will

have to edit a registry setting to use

the voice record key to open xbar.

Replace value 1:

with (include the quote marks)

Voice Record button (on the side) = Open/Close

Return button = Quit selected application

Select button (middle of the thumb stick) = Bring selected application to focus

1 = Quit all applications except the one selected

2 = Quit all applications

3 = System info

Left menu button = Voice Notes

Right menu button = Calculator

4 = Open 4.lnk (must be in the same directory as Xbar)

5 = Open 5.lnk (must be in the same directory as Xbar)

6 = Open 6.lnk (must be in the same directory as Xbar)

7 = Open 7.lnk (must be in the same directory as Xbar)

8 = Open 8.lnk (must be in the same directory as Xbar)

9 = Open 9.lnk (must be in the same directory as Xbar)

0 = Open 0.lnk (must be in the same directory as Xbar)

* = Quit Xbar (in DAEMON mode)

# = Help

You can even open Xbar when the

keyboard is locked

(to see the temperature for example).

If AUTOHIDE has been set in the

ini file, Xbar will close itself after the

specified time.

By editing the rai, and the xbar cfg.ini in the xbar folder. So it wont remain in memöry.

Great player, it plays my own encoded 192kb/s @ 24fps DivX's smoothly!!

Very annoying that is don't play fullscreen when I hit Play :) also missing an backlight option it is VERY irritating it goes off everytime, even if I turn on the option 'never turn backlight off' in the settings menu.

as much as i like this player (which is quite a lot), i think it should be a multimedia player. it could play mp3s, but i could see no description, title, like pMVP. once the feature is added (to round off the player) i still will keep pMVP. but keep up the good work! :)

I love watching encoded AVIs on this thing. makes every1 around me jealous :twisted:

is there anyway to rid of the drop frames (i.e. make the vid non-choppy)? (the vid doesnt run too smooth, but it still is quite watchable!) i use PocketDivxEncoder to encode my divx vids to save space.

yes. i'am planing to add mpeg1 and mjpeg video codecs (hopefully in the near future)

Also, you can use PocketTV Classic, which plays MPEG-1 pretty well on Smarphones and is also free.

I've not tried Beta on Smartphone yet, but I'm sure it's as good as on the Pocket PC. Good work! :)

How about next, make a video recording tool for MS Smartphone that can record in 3GP? There aren't any now while there are a few for Symbian OS.

Hi guys,

Thnks for feedback. I should have mentioned I am able to open Files through file explorer as I have set the file extensions and also that I am using an E200.

The in built explorer will not work for me and it did before so I must have changed something. I can use all other features but when openening the explorer all I have is a blank page, will not display anything no folders, no lines and no text, nothing, nada, niente it is a plain white background!!

I have uninstalled and removed manually and reinstalled countless times but no explorer. Not really a problem but I would like to know what it was I did.

I recently installed OSX Darxins Mac OS skin (why did I want my windows to look like Mac? Am I mad why would I want Mac maybe Mac made to look like windows>? Surely I would have bought a Pod if I was that stupid!)

Anyway I also installed RJ plugin and my phone has been more than a bit unreliable since I put on the 2 (osx + RJ). I have been unable to remove the extra skinned screens etc. (I did see post on how to remove but havn't followed up) Maybe Beta explorer is trying to open overwritten skin or something?

maybe you should delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREBetaPlayerOPEN registry tree (or the full BetaPlayer tree) this is because uninstall doesn't delete BetaPlayer's registry entries. this will be fixed later,

so uninstall/install can make a clear state.

Just removed my homescreen which was using the Analog Clock plugin and i have managed to squeeze it up to 69.27% average speed and a Bench framerate of 16.63

oh... and PS - my backlight stays on all the time!

Wahoo! I am off to re-encode those Simpsons episodes i have'nt watched yet. :)

Hmmm just got another question... Could anyone tell how to get past the backlight issue; where is this beta2.zip to be found? Do you just replace the files in beta player on the phone, with the ones found in beta2.zip?

Check your free physical memory level. Could be due to too many app running in the background. Kill non-system appz via Task Manager.
