Guest picard_beta Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 sorry no documentation yet. there is no optimal settings for all devices for everyone. buffer and drop tolerance settings are probably fine by default. i would advice to play around with the encoding settings.
Guest schriss Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 To let you all know: The 3ivx D4 4.5.1 Video Codec works great with BetaPlayer http://www.3ivx.com/ I use VirtualDub to encode/resize. seems much faster (smooth) than Xvid1.0. I use QP3 or 4 for quality (this gives around 95% quality) and gives results coparable to DivX 5 at 700kbps (but I prefer 3ivx codec) Quality is avesome, speed is great (I get 138% result with benchmark). My files are usually 220 width x around_90 height, 700kbps video, 64kbps 44KHz mono audio or 96kbps 44KHz stereo. BetaPlayer RULEZ :)

Now the Dvix, Xvid codecs really will work. I will not have to TMPGc now. Much better results. Thanks for sharing this.

I have experimented and its definately beta player thats doing it which means I have to reboot my phone after use. O.K not a big problem, won't stop me using it as its fantastic but thought I would mention it. :D Cheers

If Xbar2 isn't working after you run Beta Player, then run it again from a shortcut from your start menu. I didn't have any problems with Xbar2 not working after I ran Beta Player.

Guest toiletboy Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 My beta player version 0.03 jams my entire MPX200... I can play one movie from the ´my document´ folder on my SD-card. But when i put an MP3 in the same folder, beta player doesn´t even start up anymore :S Then i have to remove my battery to get it to work again.. Is there another way to do this btw?
Guest c0ntrite Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 hmmmm... well according to the site you have to UNINSTALL the previous version of beta player (v0.02)... try to uninstall your beta player then install again... hope this helps... but make sure that the beta player folder is empty before installing... try to delete the folder then install the new version... good luck!

(30 Mb) converter with proogram download from betaplayer site and when i play it after 1 min. the player crash all my system,i've got a motorola mpx200,i can only take off the battery and then put it on for turn on the phone so i uninstall it and install another time the old version but there are always the same problem can someone help me? there is a new version?

(that was my problem after Qtetk 8080 update, less bass). Buy I have one question. Maybe it's me, but how can I get Betplayer play next mp3 after it played previous. I saw function NEXT, but it doesn't work for me... Any sugestions? Onece more, thnax for this wonderfull piece of art!!!
