Guest loquerion Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 meatgrinder... LOL... y? because i have alinux box or because i have stooped to using VB? *snigger* well i would considder contacting HTC, but i will prolly use my contacts from within the university... when you attach a research department to your email address ppl tend to be a little bit more forthcomming with info... either way... i dont think that: "IRPort.Output = Sky_1" will work ;) (and i think i just trolled myself to being able to send IMs :D )
Guest nedge2k Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 when you attach a research department to your email address ppl tend to be a little bit more forthcomming with info... Hehe...good plan :D Now you can PM contact Florin_M. I wont go into too much detail but he's the man fo low level hardware info ;)
Guest roozbeh Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 i am sure you might also find some things over decompiling system dll files.... please tell me if you want any of those dlls...(as you cannot simply compy them to anywhere)
Guest nedge2k Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 ***BUMP*** Have you managed to get the hardware info?
Guest Pigo Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 hehehe I know it was possible! but one more thing... I'm not a programmer or whatnot. but maybe you can use the software/codes of the phones to find out what bit's you need to use. that's the way I do it when I design websites. maybe you can fish it out of the codes. anyway. good luck to you! I'll be one of your first buyers/downloaders if you acctually finish this. Pigo
Guest fnormanski Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Did someone tried to open HTC's SPV/E100/E200 and check the chip used for the IR port? Does it use MAXIM part? :)
Guest Speedy Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Im no wiz, but what about contacting the guys who made apps like "smartexplorer" (binarys) and others? They must know something about the mapping of the IR. thats my 10 cents worth
Guest phonesmarts Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 aside from the HTC, what about the mpx? if you want to know about the IR port of the mpx, you can PM awarner. he should know at least something about it since he did take apart the mpx.
Guest kalinte Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 QUOTE LOL ive tried to contact HTC a number of times without responce...... (scene 1) HTC programmer reading your email: bloddy hell laddy.....why bother...... every telie comes with a free remote. use your phone to make calls. at the end...... he decides not to reply your email.
Guest londonlad Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 speedy's right, binarys is your best hope. who else uses infrared? Is it not possible to get started without those details?
Guest schriss Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Now I understand why Florin is so good at lowlevel hardware :D http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...highlight=naked Maybe you wiull find this useful... https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/pr...cc_id=NM8CANARY
Guest willlevy Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Did anything come of a smartphone learnable, macro remote app? particularly for the c500. I would be interested in anyone working on this or other controls that could be of use for IR and WiFi home automation, security, AV over IP or PC control.
