Guest martin Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 Apart form the In-game keys. Is it not possible to put some of the others into a pause-menu type thing ? Or have a single key that toggles through them. Just an idea :)
Guest sadistsly Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 i believe it would need to be re-coded wich would be alot more hassle then just doing a standard port. Im not a programmer but i think the programmers just code the executable from i386 archetecture to ARM wich is is a straight forward proccess and changing the actual game itself is a different, longer proccess. It would still be possible as Duke3D is heavily modifiable thanks to 3D realms. Im not 100% sure but that seems logical to me :/ the SPV really allready has enough keys, as all of the above are not esscential its just finding the right config Just to elabarate on what i said earlier, i really think any escape type menuey stop game play keys should not be near any movment keys so the possability of accidently interupting gameplay is reduced as that can be soooooooooooooooooo annoying :)
Guest martin Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 OK :) I thought about main movement with strafe and fire (needing three simultaneous keys) and came up with this. Try it holding the phone and see what you think (press index fingers against each side of phone - left index for strafe and thumbs for fire and movement). Move_Forward = Ctrl up Move_Backward = Ctrl Down Turn_Left = Ctrl left Turn_Right = Ctrl right Strafe = Voice record Fire = 1 then use the volume up/down for run/jump (so strafe, run and jump all us the left index finger) Run = Volume UP Jump = Volume down Open = Green Dial AutoRun = left soft key Crouch = 2 key Look_Up = 3 key Look_Down = 6 key Look_Left = 4 key Look_Right = 5 key Inventory = * key Inventory_Left = 0 key Inventory_Right = # key TurnAround = Home Key Map = 7 key Next_Weapon = 8 key Previous_Weapon = 9 key
Guest machieru Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW GIMME DUKE3D O.o *drools*

Guest durk1482 Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Any progress? I'm looking forward to Duke Nukem, that game rocked backin the days. Those awesome one-liners No one steals our chicks... and lives... :x
Guest roozbeh Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 everything is perfect but the problem is.... both games havent any console output ....so i am developing that myself..... so for now when you run the game you have to wait without any results in screen for about 2- upto 60sec...and that is not good for user...as they dont know if rpogram is runnung or not.... and also no debugging output so i can if users have any problem they can send me their debug file but apart from that everything is ok
