Guest AvWijk Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 i think some ppl played full version with previous builds.... but becouse i dont have it i can not test with it.... how much is the size? Packed with WinRAR about 10mb! (v. 1.3) See the private message :P
Guest milmarkg Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 roozbeh, just got it lately. playing with sound is really good, but slows down turn movement. worked with both original and atomic version. note: i think we're back in the original bug in the pool table at level 2. well i think that'll be no big deal for u anymore. keep on knockin' them on m8.

Guest Cybertronic Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 Hey roozbeh not sure if it is reported or not.. but when i start in the first level, the game crashes just when you jump down the hole which will let you get on the streets :S so that's not a good thing I reported this earlier, it was fixed in 0.31b :?

Nice to to hear that it runs with the full versions? Which versions did you use, to be exactly..
Guest pennarts Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 by the way...m1000 is pocketpc and i think with no keyboeard how do you open close doors or fire? i got 8 bindeble buttons and a joystick thing so i can bind enough :) and also i can buy a keyboard for it if needed :P that would give me anything i need
Guest oh_stewie Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 This rocks!!! Takes me back, way, way back to when I was a kid. ahh, memories.
Guest schriss Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 On my Mio8390 the sound skips a little... After load, in menu I get 27-30 fps. Lowest frame rate I noticed in game is 20fps, almost never less than that, usually it's like 25fps, but it's jumping to much higher value every second or two, then it gets back to 20 (??) This must be somehow connected with that skippy sound... Edit: settings in duke3d.cfg are default, I didn't change anything yet Edit: I'm now increasing CacheMemory to 6800 (Mio8390 has 20MB free) - didn't help for the skippy sound
Guest schriss Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 I have also tried that on my Pocket PC: Dell Axim X30 624MHz. I have changed screen width to 240 in duke3d.cfg and was able to run it. I see only upper half of the screen, like somene posted few posts earlier. Good thing is that frame rate is averaging between 75-110fps :) Sound work flawlesly on pocket pc.

Guest schriss Posted August 22, 2004 Report Posted August 22, 2004 For Mio8390 it's now: NumVoices = 8 NumChannels = 2 MixRate = 44100 and the sound skips as before, audio is freezing every second, and I hear cracks, as if the audio was enabled and disabled every second. It's not performance issue as the frame rate is around 20fps. And I run it with same audio settings on Pocket PC and audio is excellent. Regarding Pocket PC: I tried to change mappings, but it didn't work. Can someone help me with Pocket PC key mappings? All I can currently do is move around - that's it. Can't shoot, can't even get into menu to exit, I have to soft reset.
Guest schriss Posted August 22, 2004 Report Posted August 22, 2004 By the way, if you set screen width to 320 and height to 160 you will get it working on Pocket PC just like on the attached pic :) (load screen is still 176x220 :? )dukenukem3d.png
Guest meatgrinder Posted August 22, 2004 Report Posted August 22, 2004 lo roozbeh, this runs AMAZING on my c500! buggest prob is, i cant bind hte volume up/volume down/camera keys, they just act as they would out of hte game i think - if i launch the game, then press record key, when i quit the camera is active :) Dave [EDIT] i have the same problem in picodrive - probably the keys being.. (i dont know the techy term) but assigned a different...uhm...reference thing in the new rom. i cant bind the call/endcall keys either - tho the softkeys do bind jst fine [/EDIT]
Guest milmarkg Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Nice to to hear that it runs with the full versions? Which versions did you use, to be exactly.. As for the grp files both the original(<26MB) and the atomic version(<44MB), as for your duke port all of your releases worked fine with my e100. The thing is that its noticeably slower playing with sound, and some minor bugs can be experienced.
Guest wendingo Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 can any1 host the DUKE3D.grp file i tried gettin it off the shareware but my computer cant install think it doesnt like xp :)
Guest Cybertronic Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 You need Winzip to get the DUKE3D.GRP file, download Winzip here After you've installed that, download the Shareware here Once downloaded, right click on the file, go to Winzip, Extract to here :P Hope this helps :)
Guest wendingo Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 :) hehe thx man didnt think of doin that as the file wasnt associated already. got the file now thx again
