Guest Simon Desser Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 After restoring my E200 using Sprite Back Up, I seem to have developed the "bogus" alarm bug :D I've read all the posts about renaming then deleting your mxip_initdb.vol file, but I can't do this on my E200 :?: :?: I get an error messaging (see below) I can however rename this file on my old E100 :? Any ideas anyone :?: Cheers SimonError renaming.gif
Guest squall Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 keep it simple :D assuming you have the alarm going off at time when its not set, i think the best fix is to set the alarm to the time it rings then switching it off again.

I actually already did that (after reading someone elses post about the alarm bug) and it does seem to have worked, BUT, it still went off once the other day at this "bogus" time, so I wondered if it might be say a weekly alarm or something? Anyway, it's not gone off for a few days now so maybe it's sorted :D Thanks!
Guest Pagemakers Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Got the same problem on my C500. Did you ever find a way or deleting or re-naming mxip_initdb.vol
