Guest Disco Stu Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 Well, despite their desire to rule the known universe (or, spread freedom and democracy, as they would put it), I've been very happy with AOL. I did send a test email from my E200 at the same time and that was received instantly at AOL. So, I've sent both yourself and my work account another pair of wavs. Let's see when they arrive. Ooh I do love a good race ! :D
Guest jocool Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 Disco Stu i received a zipped wav at 11h32 (this forum time) :D
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Seeing as neither my Orange nor AOL email accounts seemed to like it, I can't see me using this I'm afraid. TBH I don't really see the point :?
Guest jocool Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 yep really strange i dont know why orange.net and aol reject pushvoice messages ...
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 With respect, the whole "Push-to-Talk" thing needs selling to me..
Guest jocool Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 It would be great over bluetooth. I dont see the goal, if you can bluetooth , you are in front of the people so, you can speak to this people directly lol :P
Guest Belac Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 Hi jocool, Is this compatable with the Nokia PTT (Push to talk) spec? I've searched everywhere but i cannot find what file type the Nokia system uses. PTT has just been introduced in Australia by Telstra on the Nokia 5140. Users are given a [email protected] address which i assume is just waiting for an email with a particular file type attached. Thanks.
Guest jocool Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 hello belac, i dont have the ptt specification, so i cant answer, but i imagine that ptt is base on an email with a particular subject and an .AMR audio file associated, if the ptt format is what i think , my soft will not be hard to modify to be compliant ... :) we will see as soon as we have more informations see ya
Guest lukeap69 Posted September 18, 2004 Report Posted September 18, 2004 i think this is a great app. i just don't have 2003 as others though. wish someone could do the same for 2002.
Guest Belac Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Thanks jocool, I'll keep looking for details on the Nokia spec and let you know if i find anything out. My brother has just bought a 5140 so i'm going to try and send a PTT message to my normal email account and see if i can establish what the subject and file type should be.

Guest KingDaddy Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 When I get unlimited GPRS in a couple months, this will be great!
Guest skb3 Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 I have it installed on my C500 (2003) and for some reason it just pauses on Sending... it never reaches 'sent' I have to then shut down the app, anyone else experiencing this? Thanks, Steve
