Guest mike-oh
Hello, In the last few days of being on holiday in Rhodes i noticed that the mains charger was getting extremely hot when charging my phone. The charge then stopped at around 45%. I (perhaps foolishly) waited for the charger to cool down and then tried again. The phone started charging again and stopped around 20mins later and the charge on the battery had actually dropped!?! I'm back home now and the mains charger seems completely fried and my phone won't charge from it at all. However it seems to be charging fine through USB. So.... 1)Has anyone else had this problem? 2)Is the mains charger covered by orange care? 3)Will Motorola replace it under warranty? Thanks all, Mike
Guest squall
Mains charger is an essential part of device and hence has to be covered under orange care. You will likely get a warrenty replacement to if you ask nicely :D Id have to check but its possible that supply voltages in Rhodes arent the same as in the uk, be it the voltage, or more likely the frequency. Guest @ngel
Here in Greece we use 220V - 50 Hz
Guest mike-oh
Here in Greece we use 220V - 50 Hz Yeh, that counts for Rhodes too (unsurprisingly). A new charger is on its way within 3 working days thanks to Orange Care and the most polite, non Geordie orange rep i've spoken to yet. (she sounded quite fit too :D) :D Mike
